I thoroughly enjoyed making pupusas with Maria and her family. They are such friendly and welcoming people. I asked for a private class outside of their regular hours because I couldn't attend a class in the late afternoon. The ingredients for the dough are completely organic made by boiling the corn with calcium, whereas some pupusas are made with corn flour containing preservatives. I believe this is what makes her pupusas so delicious...much better than others I have tried. I highly recommend taking a class with Maria.

We did the cooking class with Maria and Carla and my goodness it was a highlight for us in Santa Ana. It is run by a local family and they take a lot of pride in their PuPusa’s and they genuinely were so kind!! The class was $12 USD and included a hot chocolate and plantains for dessert. As for the PuPusa’s they just keep stacking them on your plate till you can’t eat no more hahah. We ended up with some for takeaway and they were delicious. 10/10 recommend!!

Had a wonderful time with Maria making authentic pupusas yesterday. She was so sweet and kind. She speaks a little English and we speak a little Spanish, so it was also a bit of a Spanish lesson too! Which was really fun. The class was $12 a per person and you can choose your fillings and choose how many pupusas you want to eat. She caters for veggies too. The pupusas were delicious! Definitely recommend ☺️

The pupusas class was fantastic! We went to this local spot in town where a family is running a business, making pupusas and so much more! I've learned how to make the pupusas and after we sat down with the entire family to eat. The family was the cutest, they were welcoming and friendly and I stayed there for an hour. I had so many questions I wanted to ask. They were happy to answer and curious about me. Thanks to Castor who helped me to translate! It was such an authentic experience and a way to connect with locals which is not always easy (especially if you don't speak their language). Thank you Castor, I'm very grateful. You will see me back at some stage,...

I had such an authentic experience with Mary making pupusas. Although I speak very little Spanish and she speaks very little English , I could tell immediately that she was a really friendly and hard working local person which is always great to support. She had all of the ingredients prepared so showed us how to combine them to make the pupusas and how to shape them! They were delicious once they were cooked too. We also drank some hot cocoa which was really nice. Overall a great experience and would recommend to go...

I had an incredible experience in Santa Ana, El Salvador, thanks to our amazing guide and host, Castor. We had the opportunity to explore the city, mingle with the locals, and learn how to make delicious pupusas. The atmosphere was fantastic, and Castor showed us all the hidden gems of Santa Ana, providing us with a wealth of knowledge about the country's history. It was truly enriching, and the pupusas were absolutely delicious! Personally, this was the best walking tour I've ever taken. Thank you,...
