Good spot to visit for anyone who s interested of architecture and design or interior design or is trying to find inspiration or just interested of behind the scenes of Alvar Aalto family. Interesting house full of unique art pieces from around the world from Alvar s famous friends from the art circles. Decorations and interior mixing different styles from different cultures around from Asia, Marocco and Scandinavia. Also a lot of pieces designed by Aalto family them selves, positively surprised me. Wasn't expecting it to be this inspirational. 💕 The tour was in English and you need to take your shoes off or wear these funny covers. Not suitable for people in wheel chairs. It was a bit hard to find the online booking but keep looking, it's there and they always want you to book the tour beforehand. You just tell your name and the lady looks up your reservation so no need to print your ticket. There's a nice library next door so you should also check that out while...

Visiting Alvar Aalto’s house was an unforgettable experience. The tour was incredibly well done, our guide Eeva was knowledgeable, engaging, and really brought Aalto’s story and vision to life. Every detail of the house was fascinating, from the clever design solutions to the warmth and intimacy of the space. If you’re in Helsinki, this is an absolute must-visit. I had the best time and would recommend it to anyone interested in design, architecture, or just a unique cultural experience. (I suggest you buy the tickets in advance and wait in front of the house, they invite you in just a few minutes before the...

The house is of course beautiful, you know that, that's why you are thinking of going. The ticket is a little pricey but it's cool, you learn and experience, so I think acceptable. The host however is just a little bit weird. If you've ever watched a murder mystery and there is that person you ain't just sure of, then at the end they aren't the killer but you still just think they are weird. That's her. Buy tickets well in advance. Go when the sun is out if possible. Take tram 4 to get there, do not Uber like a lazy lout. Enjoy.
