My experience at the Finnish Museum of Theatre left me in awe of its commitment to contemporary relevance and unwavering dedication to excellence. With each new exhibition, the museum showcases a diverse array of theatrical masterpieces, ensuring that the visitor's journey through its halls is always fresh and captivating. What truly sets this museum apart is its meticulous preservation of past theatrical glory. From intricately detailed stage models to original script sketches, from elaborate costumes to the very essence of the narratives themselves, every aspect is thoughtfully curated to offer a comprehensive and immersive experience. For me, this museum stands out as a beacon of artistic appreciation in Helsinki. It's not just about the visual spectacle; it's about being enveloped in the rich tapestry of operatic melodies that seem to echo through the corridors, inviting visitors to linger and explore further. Words seem inadequate to convey the depth of my emotions; all I can muster is a heartfelt "wow." Indeed, the only way to truly grasp the essence of this place is to open one's eyes wide and delve into the captivating stories behind each exhibit.

A hidden gem not only for theater lovers and curious minds alike, but for Everyone ! This museum offers an engaging and interactive experience that brings the magic of the stage to life. From costumes and props to hands-on exhibits where you can try out lighting, sound, and even act on a mini stage — it’s both fun and educational. Not only Kids , but also adults had so much fun!!!The space is beautifully organized and there are so many beautiful costumes and installations there. A fantastic place for families, students, or anyone interested in the performing arts. Highly recommended!!!!

Three stars for the free entry thanks to the Helsinki Card. Overall, nice museum with some interactive components. Enjoyed the Arkadia Theater exhibit and dressing up, and acting on stage. Also liked being a lighting director. The shadow show section. Location was a bit outside the city centre, but easy to reach with public transport.

I can’t tell you how much fun we had here! Pretty much had the museum to ourselves and spent way too long playing dress up. I felt like a kid again and I really needed that. Unfortunately the museum itself didn’t have English translations (from what I could see) but the exhibits and costume were beautiful and Google Translate did a...
