Due to renovations the visitation is only about the adult spa.
Have your own towel and swimwear as they are obligatory. Otherwise, you can rent/purchase some from reception. Also you can buy different services like massage etc. which have their own spaces available.
Caution: the wet floors may be slippery!
Special groups have different prices than regular visitors. Pensioners, students and unemployed (show statement and id) are some. At the time of visit (16.8.2023) the regular price is 34€/4hrs. Special is 17€/person/4hrs. This is very good ethically to care for people in sometimes challenging life situations. Look up the website for more information.
The locker rooms are open, spacy and well lit. The lock works with the RFID bracelet. There are toilets (near the pools too). There is table for changing diapers for babies.
The aisles are lit with dimmed lights which have a great effect on the whole atmosphere and feeling. All the spaces: saunas, pools, showers and service counter areas are lit the same way. Of course there is some variation between all but the style/theme is coherent. It's well designed and true to the theme all around.
There's a mineral water pool, +34C. That has jacuzzi style point on one end. On the other end you can join a virtual excercise Hydrohex. Music is played both above and below surface, they were different from each other.
The center pool is a warmwater pool, +37C.
Interesting bit is the 'Avanto' cold pool, a mere +8C water to refresh and repair your body. There is a large shower at the side and a Sauna 'Pyry' +70C, a gentle and relaxing one after the cold dip.
Large steam sauna, +50C, 'UTU' was closed due to repairs.
'USVA', +50C, a refreshing and brighter lit steam sauna is near the warmpool.
'SUMU' a misty steam sauna is opposite to the 'USVA', dimmer lit, +50C and a more relaxing one.
'SYLI' is a cleansing salt sauna at +70C. A little reminiscent of a salt cave atmosphere wise.
'TERVA' is a recovering tradition sauna. You can smell the tar which for me is a very nice scent. It is at +80C.
'LUMOUS' is a yoga sauna at +45C. I could easily recommend starting from here with light stretching as it is pretty cool compared to other saunas.
'SISU' is a traditional sauna and operated at +80C. Here you can put your tolerance of heat to the test by throwing a bit more water to the stones.
Snacks, drinks, mocktails and other beverages are pretty expensive. But a smoothie at 7.90€ is pretty closely prices to Jungle Juice Bar prices. Aura Beer 8.90€, is quite expensive. You can open a tap by buying drinks etc. with the bracelet and pay when you leave.
Toilets and showers were tidy and well kept. Maybe because the time of visitation was Wednesday between 13.31-17.02 there were less people, it was not so dirty and messy? I could easily expect a different situation with more people, as unfortunately, many people don't care about others.
All in all, it was a very relaxing visit with attending the nearly half an hour Hydrohex excercise (included in entrance price). I can easily imagine visiting this place again when the water...
Read moreVisited the adults only Spa section. It’s the kind of getaway you need sometimes, but there are only two pools, a bit more variety would be nice. Also visited the hay steam treatment which was nice and fairly inexpensive, although for some reason the steam coming from the left-hand side burned my back from that side only.
One employee in particular (a dark-haired woman) was rude. I guess she got annoyed that we were in the steam treatment room for 5 minutes past the allotted time (due to the fact that we started 5 minutes late, due to no fault of our own - not gonna leave the place earlier, ay?). Later when we were leaving the spa area, we encountered her again at the door. My partner was about to press the button to open it - only to have the door practically slammed to her face as the employee opened it from the other side to let two other customers through. She was obviously in a real hurry? Ok, whatever, we let them pass. On my way out, the woman did not keep the door open but rather let it slam to my side. Lol really? So ridiculous behaviour from one individual that I don’t even know how to get worked up about it, nor hold it against...
Read moreThis place is in a cellar: there no windows, dim light, ugly plastic structures and cacofonic loud music. You can't really swim neither relax in that claustrophobic environment. The "adult" side -with extra money - is a bit better: at least you have some wooden benches, peaceful music and warm water to relax. But even there you are in a cellar, surrounded by all kind of kitsch decoration (temple imitation), the "real sauna" is just an electric sauna with some drops of tar for "authentic smell" and you have to que for those too few whirlpool baths, and once it's your turn, the whirlpool bath stops and you have to wait another five minutes for that to continue (and you swim away bored). Add for that 45 minutes it takes to get there from Helsinki and you end up more stressed than when you left.
For that price there are many much nicer places with huge windows, all kind of whirlpool baths for massage, outside swimming pools and real wooden heated smoke saunas. Even many communal swimming pools are nicer and more relaxing and several times cheaper...
