I’m writing this letter due to an incident that took place at Redi shopping mall on 13.1.2020.

I was just casually looking around in the Stadium shop at Redi shopping center on the 13th of January 2020, at about 15.10 o’clock. When I exited stadium shop I was stopped by two security guards who asked me what I have in my bag. A little confused I told them politely to check, even though I had no idea why they would want to do that. They checked my bag and of course they didn’t find anything. I asked the two guards why they felt the need to check my bag and all I got as an answer was “because you’re carrying a bag”. This to me was really absurd, because don’t most people carry bags. I then left confused to grab a coffee with a friend at Arnold . This incident haunted my thoughts and I really felt the need for some closure regarding the event. I decided to go back to Stadium to get some clarification on why I was being checked, and frankly I wanted a proper explanation. I went to the cashier to talk with the two female shop clerks. Even before I spoke I was met with a really angry face and an attitude I can only describe as the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I brought up the incident that had just taken place, but the only thing I got in response was that they would call security on me. They expressed no willingness to listen or even to say they were sorry. I was shocked to say the least. Once more I left feeling really confused. I returned to where my friend was Arnold coffee place, so that I could finish my coffee. After about 4 minutes two security guards came and one of them started yelling at me with a very loud voice. He said “get out right now and don’t come back anymore, do you understand, do you UNDERSTAND!!!”. Bewildered I asked them what in the world is this about? Angrily they told me I had harassed the female worker at Stadium and for that they were going to kick me out of Redi shopping mall. and they did, so they tooked me out of redi shopping mall also he told me to never come back to Redi. I am way beyond upset! Upset for being humiliated and for being treated as scum bag. I didn’t do anything other than look around. all of this because of one person working at stadium with an attitude I have been a loyal customer at Stadium for years and now I feel like I never want to enter that shop again. The fact is I was falsely accused of harassing a female shop worker merely because I asked for an explanation to what had just happened to me. And on top of that I get thrown out from the shopping mall like a criminal. Humiliating!

I really hope this is the last time I am being treated in a way that has really left me upset! I cannot believe how the incident escalated the way it did. This is the reason I feel I had to write this letter.

Sincerely,

Ramon...

Place is city Mall, place structure is 2 different block. Style is similar like Sello (Espoo, Finland) or Mall of Berlin (Berlin, Germany). Place has Metroa station Kalasatama build directly connected (floor 3 is same level as platforms, also escalators floor 2 to Metro station found, look if Blue travel card terminal is near ticket border is there, Smurfs are near if no valid ticket is HSL fine (80 EUR currently). If elevator bank has yellow M sign they have M floor connection near platforms, HSL ticket border is clear marked floor 3, just look direction West (Tapiola / Matinkylä (Espoo)) or East (Mellunmäki / Vuosaari), still platform has middle level change platform too. Parking space has 6 levels, most elevators goes all, K4 is secret floor area, middle K3 - K5 has huge space. Parking operator QPark. Parking area seems have electricity car charge points (K5 least). TalletusOTTO deposit ATM is K1 level, near SaiturinPörssi discount store. K-SuperMarket is same floor. Not all elevators goes everywhere. Interestingly different shopping center located mainly under the Kalasatama metro station. There's two sides here "Stadi" and "Sköne" which are divided by a road. This place got criticism because it seems a bit confusing at first glance - however it's logical if you spend here a bit more time. It takes about three to five times before you figure out the logic at the layout. Since opening they've improved their guidance signs.

This is convenient place to visit via public transportation or by automobile. It isn't overwhelmingly big and you can pretty much everything that you might need from here - and some really intriguing speciality. You should spend at least one shopping spree day here if you want to understand how interesting this place truly is.

Overall it isn't bad shopping center. I recommend this place but when visiting the first time it feels a bit overwhelming and confusing. However everything will get better over time. For now it feels a bit like fortress of solitude if you visit here especially during weekdays. I hope it gets better here in the future hence this is a...

When I first saw Redi I was excited as the outside design looks so great. When I walked in I quickly learned that the design on the floors are very messy, 50% of all store slots are closed, they have the escalator on the oposite side of what everyone else has and the elevators are named with letters but do completely different things, meaning just finding one isn’t enough. You gotta find the right one. Their entertainment department with cinema etc is also great but unless you really know the mall it’s hard to find and there’s no signs showing you where you need to go. They’ve also integrated themself with the metrostop but closes off the mall before the metro stops so you gotta then look for other ways up. I hope Redi is able to get more stores to open, someone fix the messyness so it’s easy to find the shops and entertainment but for now. Use 10 min extra and go to Tripla.

Oh wow... And I thought Itis’ planning was bad. Guess what, I get lost every single time I visit REDI. Of course, the mall is basically split in two buildings, so first you gotta wrap you head around that. But signs! Signs are not helpful at all. I usually have no problem navigating, but it took me a while to understand where the entrance to the East direction metro platform was. JUST AROUND THE CORNER. Definitely not what the signs implied though. Otherwise, it’s a quiet, clean mall with beautiful interior design, a lot of services (especially diners and cafes) to offer and a great transport connection.
