This memorial is a shining reflective silver metal set of embedded sharp prongs stuck in the actual beach. The Braves is iconic in representing the dynamic controlled chaos that ensued on June 6, 1944, here. Now it is June 6 and 9, 2024, when these pictures were taken and the site is serene with leftover commeration items still scattered about. High security event scared away the local criminals only to have them resurface when the boys in black and blue egressed. No issues with parking. Just make sure you lock up and do not engage the homeless or criminally insane you meet in this area. And.... all those reenactors you see in vintage US Army uniforms and OD vehicles are French citizens "playing army" and attempting to show gratitude to a nation for saving their culture and way of life.
