The museum was founded in memory of all those young men who died on d-day in 1944. and you will find several dioramas and displays with genuine items collected over the years.

If you want to really look at every single thing and read every poster, diagram, etc. that's here, you can easily spend 2hrs here. Apart from displayed things you can watch a ~20min film about D Day in french/english and there's a nice souvenir shop at the entrance/exit. Was here on foot so car parking wasn't a problem (there were empty spots so even by car it wouldn't be an issue), also there's a M4 Sherman, Pak 43 88mm gun and another artillery (i suppose?) gun in the parking area which is really nice. comparing to all other museums in Normandy (and i have been in all of them) i felt it lacked depth. it is a very small museum, it was a lot of artifacts, not much of explanations, and only a few in English, no audio guide or anything. i was expecting to learn something about Omaha beach events but you cant really learn anything. you just walk around and see physical things with no context. weapons, boxes, uniforms etc. i understand some were recovered from the war and they are original items but if you have limited time i would skip it unfortunately. we were in and out very quickly while in other museums we spent...
