This is a long overdue review of a fantastic trip to Argentina with Watse in November 2023. Our guides Matias and Lucilla were wonderful, patient, kind, organized and fun people who made this trip a total gem. The trekking to the "Paso del Viento" was out of this world: breathtaking views over "Los Tres" and the Southern Patagonian ice field; an evening camping in front of the lake/glacier Viedma listening to the ice cracking; glacier hiking; condors soaring above us... I also immensely enjoyed the day we spent horseback riding along and in :) the lake Viedma. The views were out of this world...and after we stopped for an argentinian barbecue and wine: riding back was even more fun. Matias and Lucilla picked wonderful restaurants all along the way and honestly this trip was also a culinary feast accompanied with wonderful wines. Visiting Buenos Aires and Ushuaia ( the end of the world) were other great historical highlights of this trip. I am looking forward to visit Northern Patagonia with Lucilla and Matias in the future.
Just a few words about Watse trekking: I have participated in yearly treks with Watse for the last 5 years and each trip has been a wonderful experience. Trekking in Nepal, around Mt Blanc, from Chamonix to Zermatt or Patagonia: each time Pierrick and all the guides working with him have made the trek a memorable experience. I cannot wait for my next adventure with Watse:...
Read more⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ (5/5) I recently completed the Tour du Mont Blanc with Watse Trekking, and they exceeded all expectations from start to finish.
From my very first email, Augustin impressed me with his patience, professionalism, and honest guidance. He promptly answered every question, gave clear information, and ensured every arrangement was thoughtfully planned and perfectly executed. His attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction are truly commendable.
On the trail, my guide Romain was simply outstanding — kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. He made sure I was comfortable, offered great advice on pacing and technique, and kept the trek safe and enjoyable. His deep knowledge of the mountains, variant trails, and weather ensured I didn’t miss a single highlight of TMB, including the breathtaking Lac Blanc.
A big thanks also to Pierrick, whose leadership clearly reflects in the professionalism and warmth of his team.
Watse Trekking combines local expertise, ethical practices, and genuine care for their clients. They turned a dream trek into an unforgettable adventure. Highly...
Read moreMy previous written review has mysteriously vanished along with the review link provided so I'm trying again. I was very disappointed with Watse. They insist on soft bags for transport and to bring your own tent if you don't want to share witha stranger. When my expensive lightweight tent pole was broken on the second transit day, , they denied all responsibility. Fortunately another hiker had a temporary repair kit. During the week I hiked, at least 3 Watse clients caught a bad stomach virus. I was too ill to hike but hopeful I'd improve. Watse then charged me 40 euro every day to go on the bag pickup/drop off run to the next campground. They were unable to provide thin soup rather than pizza to feed me. Lucky I lived on my own miso soup for 36 hours. They show no care of duty or responsibility. I hitched out on the last day and they had no qualms about...
