Booked a table for 10 where I specifically said that a baby will be with us. The waiter said there was no problem and would be fine with it.... Until we were there. We started ordering drinks and after serving our drinks did the waitress stated that the baby stroller and the baby must be put aside in a corner of the restaurant for "safety" reasons, which could have been understandable, if it wasn't for the extremely cold tone from the waitress, and the fact that another child of 2yo from another group was wandering around, near the "hazardous" ustensiles they use for some dishes. If anything, two parents near the stroller would have been way safer than a child running around, but they targeted us instead for no real reason. Je ne jugerai pas la qualité extrême des plats dont je ne remets absolument pas en question, n'ayant malheureusement pas eu l'opportunité d'en connaître la saveur. En effet, après avoir été installées, on nous informe que le restaurant n'accepte pas les chiens bien que mon petit yorkshire de 2 kilos soit enfermé et sage dans son sac sans aucun contact avec l'extérieur. Très bien, dont acte. J'admets qu'il aurait fallu prévenir au moment de la réservation mais cela m'a complètement échappé, étant donné que mon petit chien dans son sac est habitué à être admis dans les meilleurs restaurants de Lille et ailleurs, sans aucun quiproquo. Peu importe. Juste pourquoi ne pas l'avoir dit en arrivant plutôt qu'une fois installées ? Bref. Sans causer de trouble quel qu'il soit, nous décidâmes alors de partir. Nous aurions juste apprécié une formule de politesse tels qu'un "au-revoir" ou "bonne soirée" qui nous soit adressée (et qui ne mange pas de pain, quid du sens de l'accueil ?), dans un restaurant digne de ce nom et à la hauteur de sa réputation. Cet humble avis permettra peut-être aux propriétaires de chiens au gabarit minuscule, sans poils (c'est-à-dire entièrement tondu) et enfermé dans un sac, d'être informé qu'hormis en terrasse, ils ne pourront accéder au meilleur restaurant de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. La fin de ce séjour aurait pu nous laisser un goût très amer, heureusement qu'un autre restaurant du secteur tout aussi bien renommé nous a accueillies, sous la pluie battante et sans aucune difficulté. The steak asked to be well done but they bring rough meat and they already cut it in pieces. After we refused to pay it they said we had to ask to be cooked again. We ordered only one Evian bottle but on the bill they put 17 bottles at the price of 70€ and then the owner said that this was his fault. Very dodgy place be careful and look at the bill because they try to fool tourists. Also no one speak English and stuff is rude,...
