Wow! What a great experience! I love Van Gough as it is, but the art projected on the walls of the sub base, the music, the atmosphere - it was great. Some of the art shown is deconstructed and shown bit by bit, making up the whole piece. Some of it is given movement in this deconstructed way. The music is perfectly adapted to the images and the movement. Everything from classical to modern according to the art being shown. There is some text (but not much), but it is all in French, and it was far too dark to read the English leaflet. I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance. There's no wait - you just have your ticket scanned and in you go. I HIGHLY recommend paying for a parking space when you book our tickets - especially during the height of the season. It is just 2€, and you can be assured that you will have a space. Whilst you select a specific time slot for the show, it's okay if you're a bit late or early. But there is no refund once tickers are paid for. It wasn't as cold as I had expected - I forgot to bring a coat, but I had a t-shirt and a long sleeve shirt on, and that was enough for me. However, I'm sure that when it's very hot outside, it may seem much cooler in the base. The gift shop was great - filled with momentos of the show, and not overly expensive. I've seen similar products (mugs, books, pens etc) at much higher prices in the supermarkets. There aren't many places to sit to watch the show. There is a 'grand stand' of sorts but the screen is quite far away, and can be obscured by people walking in front of you. So be prepared to stand a lot for the duration of the show. There are numerous places to stand and watch the screening - all the submarine pens were showing the same thing, so don't expect a different show at each pen. All in all, I recommend the show, and I look forward to seeing what they have next year!

Mind-Blowing Dali Experience with Pink Floyd at Bassin des Lumières, Bordeaux! I had the most incredible time with my family at the Bassin des Lumières in Bordeaux, immersed in a mind-bending Dali experience accompanied by Pink Floyd music! The fusion of Salvador Dali's mesmerizing artworks with the iconic tunes of Pink Floyd created an unforgettable journey for the senses. The vibrant visuals dancing across the vast water screens were like stepping into Dali's wildest dreams. The synchronization of Pink Floyd's timeless tracks elevated the experience to another level, amplifying the emotions conveyed by Dali's surreal masterpieces. The attention to detail in the projection and sound design was exceptional, making me feel like I was transported into an alternate reality. The ambiance was captivating, and the combination of art and music left me feeling inspired and moved. The spacious layout allowed everyone to have a comfortable view, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. It's a unique blend of art and music that you won't find anywhere else. If you're an art enthusiast or a Pink Floyd fan, this immersive experience will not disappoint you . Whether you're a local or a tourist, I highly recommend diving into the world of Dali with the magical accompaniment of Pink Floyd at Bassin des Lumières in Bordeaux. PS:make sure to book your ticket in advance

The best visual art I have ever experienced. Even if you are not an art lover, the setting is in a German World War Two U-boat submarine base called Betasom and was very active during WW2. It is a huge structure with other bunkers nearby. Using this building to create this visual art experience is completely breathtaking. The idea is to walk around the submarine base whilst watching a breath taking projection set to music. The start of the show is incredible with the visual effect of a submarine entering the building. This is a “must see” when in Bordeaux and worth visiting just to experience this! Travelling here is challenging as the tram is about a 20 minute walk from La cité du vin stop. This whole area is new and there are some interesting places to see and an amazing French food hall very close to La cité du vin. I have seen bus stops near the actual location and google maps can assist with bus information. Of course, there is always a taxi option as the easiest way to get there. You must book in advance and can do it online and select a specific time. There is also a ticket office on the premises but booking online is a better option as there is a chance you may not get access if you just arrive as it maybe too busy. Visual shows change so you can go again when the art changes. An incredible event and highly recommended. Awesome event!!

Dali's exhibit was nice but the soundtrack, as much as I enjoy The Pink Floyds and all, didn't fit his work at all. Gaudi's was much better, the music was much more on point. But my favorite exhibit was a small one in the Cube callzd 'L'Autre Jardin'. I ended up watching it twice and felt like I was watching one of those beautiful indie video games. I didn't enjoy the other one inside the Cube called 'Infinite Horizons', I thought it was bland and the 3D felt cheap/outdated, it didn't make me feel anything either. I am thankful it was free for disabled people as I haven't been able to go to places like this in a long time because I don't have the money. It was too loud though and the projectors lights were too bright so I wouldn't advise bringing your loved ones if they are autistic, like me, at least not without protection (I had my noise-cancelling headphones on the whole time and my cap and it was still too loud/overwhelming). The staff did bring me a chair to sit on while I was waiting for my friends to come in but I wish places like this were a bit more inclusive, offering more accessible seats and hours where they would lower the volume.

É.Pous.Tou.Flant !!! Absolutely amazing!! We booked tickets and parking in advance to see The Dutch Masters exhibition and breezed through the formalities to enter a very dark space. After a few seconds to get our bearings, we were immersed in colours, sound, and movement. Images appear, fade, reflect, and morph all around you, on all the walls of this amazing space, eerily reflected in the still waters of the immense basins in which German U-Boats once floated. The artistry and genius of Vermeer, Rembrandt, Van Gogh and all the Masters in between are mirrored (like the images) in the artistry and genius of the technicians who created both this exhibition and the Mondrian overview. Colours abound and surround in front, in back and below. What an ingenious use for a unique space! Advance booking is highly recommended. We breezed through the entry formalities when we arrived, but there was quite a wait when we left. "De Vermeer à Van Gogh : Les Maîtres hollandais" lasts 30 minutes and "Mondrian : l'architecte des couleurs" lasts 15 minutes. We spent a delightful and insightful hour immersed in total artistry at Les Bassins des Lumières.
