This beach almost 'blew my mind' when I first came here in 1976!! I could hardly believe my eyes. As an erstwhile young man, the sight of very attractive young girls arriving, finding a small patch of sand, disrobing and then sunbathing 'au naturel' was incredible. There was nothing seedy about it and some may find the clothing optional regime as unpleasant but, if you are reasonably broad-minded, then just enjoy - the beauty of the girls, some daughters of film-stars, judging by their looks, seemed to fit perfectly with an almost totally natural and unspoilt beach. I have returned many times over the years and the planning authorities deserve magnums of champagne for NOT permitting ruinous development. The aroma of the maquis in Summer, the opulent villas nearby and the backdrop of The Maritime Alps adds to the wonderful ambience. A magical place. The best beach in the...

Plage de Tahiti

Parking: There is paid Parking right after you turn from the road (8 € for a day, cash only). Beach: Sandy with some dry seaweed flying when it's windy. It was windy when I was there. I saw people with dogs on the beach, so dogs-friendly. Sea: Sandy flat entrance with some seaweed at the shallow water. Good for kids or weak swimmers as it gets deep very gradually. Water was clean and refreshing on 30 June. No lifeguards. Food: There are plenty of cafes and beach clubs. Good choice to eat. But kitchen for all venues closes at 4pm, so if you coming for a whole day, take a snack. There are merchants walking on the beach selling snacks, cold drinks, ice cream, umbrellas, and tanning cream. Toilets: No free public toilets, only in...

I enjoyed it here. It has a bit of an old school vibe, with a more mature crowd. In other words, no influencers taking endless selfies, no champagne showers.

There was a bit of a party feel near the bar, with music and energy, but nothing over the top. You can have a drink, enjoy the buzz for a bit, then head back to your sunbed and relax, best of both worlds.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was ok, nothing special. I had a salade niçoise and struggled to find the tuna, to be honest.

I would...

I liked the parking as it is fairly priced (6 Euro per day); close to the sea and part of it is shaded. The beach is sandy but narrow. The sea is not nice as the water is not clear, there is seaweed and the seabed is rough. It is also not very shallow. I am not sure if this is because Tahiti is at end of a long beach or because it was quite a windy day.
