Unfortunately disappointed. I was drawn in as we were staying only a minute away and I noticed the plaque proclaiming a Michelin Guide recommendation from a few years ago. I now feel I understand why this recommendation is no longer there. The maître d' was welcoming and showed us to our table, but unfortunately our waiter was not at the same level. I asked for advice between two bottles of wine and it was clear he didn't know anything about them, which is no problem in itself. But rather than just saying that, or asking one of the other staff to assist, he simply recommended the more expensive one. We were then brought a completely different bottle, before finally getting our wine once we'd already had our food on the table for five minutes. I ordered carbonara after noticing on the menu that it was listed with guanciale and pecorino romano, so cooked the authentic way. Food arrived very quickly. I could see that, although good quality ingredients had been used, the carbonara was overcooked and the eggs had begun to scramble. At the surface, it wasn't too bad. However, the spaghetti was served in a mountainous pile and was clearly cooking itself further on the inside. The more I ate, the more scrambled egg appeared. At the centre the sauce ceased to be sauce and was completely scrambled. I didn't mind so much as to make a complaint or send it back, I was just a bit disappointed. I thought I'd point it out to the waiter when he checked how we were or took the food away as I was sure the chef would want to know there had been a mistake with such a simple dish. That opportunity never came, however. We weren't checked on and our plates were then quickly and wordlessly whisked away. My partner had a different dish and was content with it, however.

We are guests at Hotel Saint Vincent. They recommended this restaurant closeby. Last year we have been there many Times as this year. Today was very disappointing and the Last Time to go there. Very arrogant owner, not at all someone who should manage a restaurant! I wanted a nice evening with good Food. What we got was a terrible behaviour towards us as Clients. It was very hot and we just asked for another table which was at windows. The owner didnt give us the table - the other Table was Left empty 45 minutes. In this time we finished eating. So it was clear: he didnt WANT to give another Table in purpose! We dont know why, I asked nicely. The other day the owner also said to a waiter „dont discuss with the client“. Now I understood: he is the Boss and he is only interested in your money; Not in making a great experience to the clients!! He doesnt care as its one of the few Restaurants around here. So this was our Last Time here. I rather leave my money with one of the phantastic restaurants around like Tropezina with an excellent over the top service! We went for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I try to tell my experience. As soon as we arrived, expectations were very high. The restaurant is Italian and the location is very characteristic. As soon as we enter we are seated. Not even the time to sit down that the waiter asks us what we want to order to drink. The waiter doesn't speak Italian and doesn't even try to make himself understood. In some it makes us a little anxious. The glass of wine is of poor quality and tastes like a cork. The paste is overflowing with garlic, covering the taste and flavor of the fish. The pizza doesn't even come close to real Italian pizza because the ingredients are cheap. After we finish eating, our attention falls on a wall behind us. Several rats continued to scamper on the walls behind us. One of these mice was gigantic. As soon as we pointed this out to the waiter, he replied that he was aware of it and did not even apologize for the inconvenience. Final result: bad food and also bad publicity for Italian cuisine.
