The church is quite old and fascinating. Sunday prayers we going on when we went there. The church had a very pleasant odur of candles and very peaceful environment. If I lived in grenoble I would be dropping by here very frequently to meditate and pray. It's a must visit architecture. Not much tourist around.

Aspect from outside does not make you think there is a cathedral there, which is a surprise. Reading a bit through we understand this one has a long history, notably related to the Chartreux Monks. A smaller church is literally "appended" to it (access through the cathedral).

La cathédrale Notre-Dame de Grenoble est un lieu chargé d’histoire et de spiritualité.

Elle témoigne de la présence chrétienne dans la ville depuis plus de 1700 ans, et conserve des vestiges archéologiques remarquables, comme le baptistère du IVe siècle.

Son architecture mêle les styles roman, gothique et baroque, et offre une harmonie surprenante.

Le clocher-porche en brique, qui domine la place Notre-Dame, est l’un des symboles de Grenoble.

À l’intérieur, on peut admirer le chœur orné de vitraux, le maître-autel en marbre, les chapelles latérales décorées de peintures et de sculptures, et le magnifique orgue du XVIIIe siècle.

La cathédrale est aussi un lieu de prière et de célébration, où l’on peut participer à la messe, à l’adoration, ou au sacrement de réconciliation.

Elle accueille également des événements culturels, comme des concerts, des expositions, ou des conférences.

La cathédrale Notre-Dame de Grenoble est donc un lieu incontournable pour les visiteurs et les habitants de Grenoble, qui y trouvent à la fois un patrimoine historique et artistique, et une source de foi et d’espérance.
