La source intermittente, découverte en 1865 par Firmin Galimard, qui lui légua son nom : le "Puits Firmin" lance toutes les 6 heures des jets d’eau, qui atteignent parfois la hauteur impressionnante de 16 mètres. Il s’agit d’un phénomène naturel, certes régulé, mais dont on ne peut prévoir avec exactitude à quel moment précis il apparaîtra. Phénomène étrange, témoin d’une forte activité dans le sous-sol valsois.
