Visited Chateau_Chalon in early May, we were lucky to have a sunny day and being early in the season it was quiet, very few tourists, so we were able to walk around and enjoy this stunning village and the views without crowds. We visited the museum Maison de la Haute Seille, staff were very friendly and spoke english. Our group paid to see the film of the local wine making and its history, then paid to taste the yellow wine on the balcony overlooking the valley filled with vineyards, the staff gave some additional information about the wine. Read moreBeautiful place indeed. But unfortunately July-August is not the right time of the year to travel there. They charged us the full entree price although our visit took less than 30 minutes. No Irises to see and most plants were quite dry. Only after we paid, did the receptionist mentioned that No Irises to see. Recommend them too have different costs in summertime.
