Sweet visit to the former home of Mme Letourneau, where she wove (after his father died) trimmings or narrow decorative ribbons in the three looms dating to 1870 fitted to their apartment. One loom is set up with 18 individual mini-looms and warps and the pattern is woven using the Jacquard mechanism of subsequent punched cards for picking up the correct threads for each row. We did the workshop and tour. For the workship, we wove with a traditional loom. We picked out the thread and at the end they stitched it into something small of our choice. My sister did a small purse and I did an owl. It was a great experience. Would be especially good for children, but I'd say is fun for all ages. Would highly recommend!
