Silk Saint Georges — Attraction in Lyon

I had the pleasure of visiting this little workshop tucked away in Vieux Lyon during our stay in 2018. The gentleman tending the shop, M. Ludovic de la Calle, kindly answered my many questions and it was evident that he took great pride in his craft and had an eye for the smallest details. He showed us around the workshop and demonstrated various ancient looms. It's a treat to listen to someone who is passionate about his art and I enjoyed my visit immensely.

The scarves themselves are just lovely! They are light, soft, and well-made. I have ordered a few for myself and also given them as gifts and they have always pleased their recipients.

I have bought several wonderful silk scarves for myself and for presents. There is a wide choice of patterns and colours for every taste. The quality is outstanding and it is of French origin, which makes it a perfect present for nearly any occasion. Visited this very lovely establishment during my recent time in Lyon. It was a wonderful experience. The father and son were very welcoming; the son spoke more English than the father and did show me around the store and even into the room where the silk looms are; showing me a restoration piece the father had been working on for maybe one year. The shop is very interesting and they have for sale beautiful women scarves as well as some handsome mens silk ties. I did make several purchases, which I am very happy with. I hope to be able to go back again...
