Marseille Chanot — Attraction in Marseille

Attended a 4 day international conference here. The free wifi was an absolute plus, and everything is well labeled. The facilities were gorgeous, many looking brand new. Plenty of space for a keynote, lots of small rooms to branch off, sit, hold a trade show, etc. Not sure what the conference organized and what they did, but it was a great location. Also the metro is literally right next to it so getting there was super easy by hopping on/ off and about a 45 minute walk from the pier which is super doable. About a 30min walk from there...

We organise dental conferences and have booked the Parc de Chanot for one of our Symposiums recently. Dealing with the administration of the Chanot has been an utter nightmare. They were highly bureaucratic, inflexible and sometimes downright nasty. There were lots of hidden costs of considerable amount that piled up towards the end when it was too late to pull out. I would NEVER organise a Symposium...

It was a good choice for the conference I attended. The poster hall downstairs had the right balance between being not too crowded and not too empty between posters. Allowed for an energetic feeling of science. The larger rooms for the talks were also good. The only negative were the toilets which could have been...
