I have visited CDG Terminal 1 multiple times, and each experience has regrettably been disappointing. This terminal consistently fails to meet the expectations one might have of an international hub. Navigation through the terminal feels like an endless trek, exacerbated by the dense crowds and a layout that seems to demand excessive walking. Cleanliness appears to be a low priority; the terminal's cleanliness is below par, with trash and debris frequently visible. Moreover, the functionality of the facilities leaves much to be desired. Essential services and amenities do not reliably work, adding unnecessary stress to the travel experience. Equally frustrating is the interaction with the airport staff, whose approach can often be described as indifferent, if not outright rude. Such an attitude does little to ease the traveler's burdens or improve the overall atmosphere of the terminal. In sum, CDG Terminal 1 falls short of providing a smooth and welcoming gateway to travelers, which is disheartening given its role as a major international airport. There is a significant room for improvement in almost every aspect, from customer service to the basic maintenance of the facilities.

tax refund detax tips: #1: if your flight is between 11am and 10pm, you should try to arrive 4h before your flight. #2: for cash Euro go the the departure floor (1st floor), for other currencies, it is located on hall 6 at the shuttle level (basement). #3: The lines in the basement are really confusing. Be aware there is 1 line to go to the scanning machine, then 2 lines, one for cash (travelex) and one for credit card (with the policemen). So go to the line for the scanning machine first then You had to chose the option when at the shop when they asked you. #4: if you picked cash, travelex is taking quite a huge fee, you'll end up between 75 and 80% of what you think you'll get. credit card was definitely a better option, you'll know for next time #5: When you go to the cash line, it can be frustrating because some people buy the "vip" pass for 15euros that allows them to go in priority. if you're in a rush (and everyone waiting will think they are), take the option. They shouldn't allow Travelex to do those VIP pass, this is not fair at all.

One of the best Airports in France. How to reach this place from Paris Central... There are multiple options via metro, via bus or cabs... My suggestion if you are carrying luggage and you are two or more then it's worth calling Uber... It's much comfortable and convenience to travel directly from your home... Moreover it's much cost effective considering carrying your luggage to station s and between the change of stations and then at airport... Thus to avoid all these hussel it is better to book Uber from home... Try to reach here at least 3 hours before, bcoz there are 3 checks here... One for bagages drop... Better you do web check-in... Next emigration check which takes lots of time as there are huge que... Last hand bagage scans, this should take at least 15 to 20 minutes... So you should have 1 to 2 and half hours handy with you...

I thought terminal 2f was bad until, 2 flights and 20 hours into my journy, I had a connection cancelled and had to find my luggage in 2f, enter France through customs and immigration, catch a train for 5 stops and go to terminial 1. This terminal sets a new standard for bad and is bairly a notch above Jeddah. Check in does not begin until 2 hours before flight time so I had to stand around (All seats taken) with my suitcases for 4 hours, then the flight was delayed because of the backlog of people checking in. Once checked in I had to exit the country through immigration, rush past a store to pick up an expensive bottle of water, only to have it taken away from me 1 minute lated at a security check at the boarding point. This is an old airport terminal, its circular shape makes it confusing. Security points where not anticipated in the design and awkwardly retrofitted. And the staff are probably sick and tired of being complained at, and take it out on travellers. I expect checkin is delayed until 2 hours before departure because the waiting area is tiny on the air-side. A recommendation would be to allow checkin earlier, but not allow you to go to air-side until, say, 30 minutes prior to your flight, that way flights coud be on time and passangers would be more relaxed without the burden of their own luggage, plus the addition burden of all the passageways being blocked by other peoples luggage. Look at Heathrow as an example of where they allow early checkin, but dont announce gates until...

I missed two flights in one day because of wrong directions and unqualified staff. My first flight was scheduled for 10.30 in direction to LONDON. I had to undergo security check 3 times and that’s not a problem. But I was already late and they didn’t get it. When I got to the boarding point, it was closed and they didn’t even help me find an alternative. Very disappointing.

I scheduled my second flight on the same day BY MY OWN when IT’S NOT MY FAULT I missed the first one. The people giving me directions once again brought me to the wrong gate. That would’ve been fine because I had 2 hours of wait BUT I kept asking why and when my flight was going to appear on the notice board so I make sure I’m at the right place and they kept saying I should wait and it was going to come. Nothing changed even not until it was 30mins to boarding time. I had to run to the other side of the terminal (where was my actual gate!!) and again, I went through security so many times and even if it’s normal for them to do their job, I kept insisting that I was about to miss my flight. And when boarding time ended, a staff member walked to me to tell me the that I wouldn’t have mattered because they boarding gate closes ONE HOUR before the plane takes off. I was EXTREMELY CONFUSED and I have Anxiety issues so I started a really bad panic attack.

This is my worst experience in FRANCE. The STAFF is INCOMPETENT and NOT UNDERSTANDING. YOU SHOULD INFORM PEOPLE about this information on the...
