On Friday the 15th March I took a special tour with only one other couple and my dog! The guide, Lise, was fantastic. Speaks beautiful French and English as well as several other languages. The actual tour lasted about an hour and we were able to taste all four of the vermouth blends. At the end, we were shown into the very attractive bar area where Lise gave each of us a large glass of our choice of Original Dry, Extra Dry, Ambre or the sweet red variety. Served over an ice ball with a twist of zest (mine was grapefruit to complement the Original Dry. ). We were also given small eats that went well with our appero. Lise even brought a lovely large glass bowl of water for Jasper. This tour was a real highlight of my ten weeks in the area. Thoroughly recommend. The history of Maison Noilly Prat is fascinating. Read moreWe went there twice when we were living in Languedoc. Marseillan is a delightful little town and the Noilly Prat cellars are a first rate attraction. If, as the German visitors above mentioned, the opening times are a little special, this is France, that's how it operates. But the tour itself was extremely interesting, the guide was enchanting and the product superior. It is unfortunate that only the dry vermouth is generally available (you can buy the delicious ambré only in Marseilles itself), but that is their marketing quirk. Read moreI can only echo what many other reviewers have said. A wonderful facility and an excellent personalized tour followed by a tasting and the chance to buy their products and accessories. One very interesting part of the tour was the cooperage repair shop, in which there was a very impressive iron spiral staircase designed by Eiffel (yeah, that guy). If you do decide to visit, make sure you so at a time of day when you can take a walk around the town's harbor and have a meal at one of their very good...
