Not a good experience. The forecast was rainy so it felt like every family in the region had Googled the same thing. We booked dated tickets and travelled over an hour, only to be barked at by an employee on arrival telling us to “go home” because they were full. Even after we explained we had pre-booked and pre-paid, she was adamant. Meanwhile, people were still being allowed to buy tickets on the door. I noted that when booking they had a dynamic pricing calendar and the day we booked was one of the most expensive.
Bag checks added insult to injury , we had a few snacks for an 18-month-old, but were told we couldn’t take them inside, we’d have to eat them outside immediately or put them back in the car. She explained how bag checks weren't normal, they were only happening today and they were checking for food(!).
Inside, it was absolute chaos. So overcrowded it felt like being on the London Underground at rush hour, a slow shuffle where you could only see the animals if you managed to push through the crowds.
Food was a disaster: one person behind the hot food counter, an unmoving queue 45 minutes+ long, and a vending machine with nothing savoury. With small children, this just isn’t workable.
The crocodiles themselves looked fine when we finally managed to get a glimpse, but the overall experience was miserable. Even the shop was a forced, one-way system with a snaking queue all the way around.
Overall, this place is a complete money grab. Until they fix capacity management, ticketing, and basic catering, it simply can’t cope with the number of visitors. Hugely...

Read more11 out of 24 crocodilians were present in the zoo, under which the three most endangered species (Chinese alligator, gharial, and philipene crocodile), along with hundreds of Nile crocodiles, all varying from small to enormous. The two albino alligators were beautiful and the adorable cuvier's dwarf caiman was looking right at you. You can tell that these people take good care of their animals and the enclosures are absolutely beautiful. Despite being reptiles, there was a lot of movement going on. In most zoos you will see crocodiles lazily dozing off. But here there were a lot of swimming or climbing animals. Along with the crocodillians, there were also the three largest tortoise species, a few iguana's, monitor lizards and bearded dragons, huge pythons and anacondas, and some beautiful birds flying freely through the greenhouse. The map is a bit confusing and the english on the information boards is flawed, but that's really the only problems I could find. Truly the experience of a lifetime for reptile...
