The little train of Saint Trojan — Attraction in Rochefort

It's a lovely little train, but I feel we had a very bad service. We only wanted to go to Gatseau and then walk back. We bought tickets ("Aller sans retour" said the lady at the ticket booth and only charged us €7 each). But then the train didn't stop at Gatseau on the way out - it just sailed through. The beach at the end of the line is very hot, windy and exposed so we were stuck there half an hour. We asked the driver why he didn't stop, and he said they only stop on the way back. I asked why and he said he didn't know. Very annoying to not have the train stop at the station and the staff to not know what's happening. Cette note de 2étoiles car pas de parking privé pour cette activité qui peut durée plusieurs heures (surtout parking pour les véhicules hauts, longs...) donc malgré un petit parking, le long de la rue, sans limitation de hauteur, le long de la mini gare, les touristes qui sont en véhicule de plus de 2m de hauteur sont la cible favorite des communes qui prônent la verbalisation.

Un panneau de signalisation parking pour véhicule longs&hauts ne serait-il pas envisageable? & Un justificatif d'embarquement dans le train de loisir ne serait-il pas envisageable pour faire office de participation aux développements du commerce local et aux taxes déjà assez élevées en France?!

Car les conducteurs et passagers de ces véhicules peuvent-être porteurs de pathologies limitant la mobilité et non reconnues par l'organisme MDPH...et/ou personnes âgées tout simplement. (Le petit train étant une option de loisirs un peu plus inclusive que certaines autres...Donc dommage)

The train is pittoresque and the last beach is visitable only by feet or by this train. Nevertheless the first beach is reachable also by car and with a big and serviced parking area. So the 12,50 euros are a big amount to go only on that beach. Most of the trip is within a line crossing the forest..so you can see almost anything. Anyway it could be a nice trip with your children.
