Dropped by the restaurant at 8pm today. The only waitress on duty were seen talking to a group of friends at the entrance.
We got into the restaurant and the same waitress came to us. She greated us in french, were friendly at first. After that she asked, did we have a reservation and we told her 'No.' . Then she put on a long face and told us, it's closed!
We were puzzled as we know that the restaurant closes at 9pm and there were still a few customers inside the restaurant yet she told us it's closed!
She wasn't courteous to us, didn't even apologise for unable to take us in because we didn't make a booking, but staring at us as if we did something wrong and expect us to leave the restaurant immediately.
If we really did offended her, it must because we have interrupted her conversations with her group of friends outside the restaurant visited the restaurant at the time that she was enjoying chatting outside the restaurant.
Since the restaurant didn't appreciate our business we went to LES GRENADINES which is less than 100 meters away. The lady boss were so friendly, totally different from what we have just experienced INTERLUDE. When asked does she has a table for two? The answer was 'Yes! Welcome!'
The food and service at LES GRENADINES were so good. Even the chef came out to thank us and wished us good night before we leave.
Therefore, if the waitress at INTERLUDE ever rejected you as a customer, walk down the street to LES GRENADINES instead. Or don't even consider INTERLUDE if you don't want your good evening mood to be spoiled by dishonest and rude waitress.
Check out my review for LES GRENADINES, meanwhile I have attached the restaurant's picture in my comment here for your reference.
The best part is when we passed by INTERLUDE around 9pm the restaurant was still open and people were seen dining inside. I really pity the boss of INTERLUDE for getting wrong people to help to prosper the business. A worker with bad attitude like this will only kill...
Read moreWe were just walking past really late on Saturday night, having exhausted all options for a late night meal, and were welcomed by Matilde to take a seat. It was late so we just opted for a starter.... it was SO tasty and so interesting, as we left, we booked for lunch the following day. Very hungry this time, we went for the full menu !!! The oyster ceviche was incredible. The flavours, the textures, the presentation were really special. The tuna tartar with mustard ice cream was so unusual but gosh did it work. Mains were both served on a bed of puréed celeriac and cauliflower with julienne vegetables. I had the bavette which was such a succulent piece of beef that I'm running out of adjectives. The deserts were also incredible. Strawberry soup with homemade chocolate ice cream. Whipped egg white floating on vanilla cream - Il Flottant extraordinaire! Oh my goodness! Now about the restaurant and the staff. Matilde was so welcoming and amusing. With her English and my French, we communicated amusingly. She introduced us to Florian (Kiki) the Chef. He was so humble when talking about his food. We have eaten in many Michelin Restaurants and to us this was certainly worthy of recognition... which made Kiki blush !!! Oh and not to forget the selection of delicious wines, served with an amuse bouche as we were seated. Very professional little touches all along the way. 100%...
