I have visited previously and would have given 5 star reviews. However, this time it was so unpleasant, I can only give 3 (the positive is based on my enjoyment previously). It's an interesting place which is educational but the place was so overcrowded that we saw very little. There is no booking system to manage numbers so whoever turns up is allowed in. As a result, it was really hard to get to all the areas (we had to miss the big tank with turtles and sharks as there was no place to stop and look). You get squashed up with other people, both overwhelming and quite smelly. I don't think I will go again unless they design a system to manage the numbers so that the experience is improved. I would also not recommend it to anyone who needs some space in order to enjoy their experience. The photo attached is NOT during feeding time but shows one of the...

Great aquarium for kids and for adults! The prices are fair (15.50€ for adults, 12.50€ for kids over 3, kids under 3 go in for free). It's not really big, but still big enough for 2 huge tanks with sharks, sea turtles and rays. What I like the most is that these animals are mainly rescue animals, so there's no wild captivity! They are also expanding right now and will add some new species soon. The location itself is also worth visiting, as it is situated on the beautiful peninsula of Croisic and the aquarium is right next to the Ocean. I would recommend either to bring Ur own snacks or to go into town to one of their charming restaurants next to the harbour. The aquarium boutique has got sweet souvenirs for the kids and also has reasonable prices, compared with other places. It's the third time we went there and the kids loved it...

On a rainy day - as you may expect - we decided to visit this Ocearium. Obviously the place was crowded and the waiting time at entrance was long. Surprisingly the queue for people with booked tickets was as long as the one for those without booking. The whole exhibition was well designed and the water tanks filled with numerous species/types of fishes. The explanations for each sort of fish, plants and/or mammals is extensive; so even the most curious ones will be pleased. If you're in the surroundings and don't know what to do on a rainy day, this is worth considering. Small note, when the parking lot is crowded, it seems that the guardians privilege the local ones upon foreigners. So might be worth looking for a spot a few...
