the beach is terrible, I don't know how people can evaluate it positively and give 5 stars is just a lie and misleading tourists. There is a lot of algae smelling of rotten eggs on the sand. It is impossible to enter the water because only algae swim up to 3 meters from the shore. I don't understand how some people can even swim there, the water stinks and from what I've seen people come out covered in algae. It's a pity that nobody cares about it, the city should do something about it because the beach has great potential and the country is not poor so they could invest in cleaning beaches to make them suitable for bathing. The sea is full of seaweed which creates heaps of seaweed at the beach and made it uncomfortable to swim for the children. Restaurants had sold out at 1pm: no drinks, no food, no ice cream. Gastros, otites et allergies brusques fleurissent cet été; nombreux jours d'interdiction de baignade; bouillon de culture mêlant posidonies mortes et morceaux de plastique (dont certains abandonnées par les bateaux de croisière stationnant de plus en plus près), longues trainées brunâtres ou mousseuses certains jours, musiques des restaurants, odeurs de graillon due aux filtres non nettoyés, courants rapportant les déversements de la station d'épuration de la Cride devenue insuffisante en été, etc...le lagon paradisiaque des années 70 puis 90 a fait place à une plage avec une bande riquiqui de sable remuée inutilement tous les matins par un tracteur. Il faudrait que les responsables municipaux aillent faire un tour à la Réserve Naturelle de Bonifacio: on laisse les posidonies aussi là-bas, mais c'est sec, c'est propre, l'eau est limpide et les parkings gratuits.
