Andernach Bollwerk — Attraction in Andernach

Das Bauwerk, was heute auch als Kriegerdenkmal genutzt wird, wurde 1659–1661als das Bollwerk des Rheinzollbastion der kurkölnischen Landesherrn errichtet. Dieses überwachte den Schiffsverkehr auf dem Rhein. Doch heute dient das Bauwerk als Ehrenmal für die Gefallenen der beiden Weltkriege. Ich finde es ist eine tolle historische Anlage und gut gepflegt. Die Anlage liegt direkt am Rheinufer und bietet einen schönen Ausblick auf den Rhein an dem die Schiffsanleger, von dem aus Touren zum Geysir möglich sind, von dort aus starten. Doch leider ist zur Zeit die Anlage geschlossen, weil diese nicht sicher sein soll. Baufällig.
