Fantastic place! The brochure said a leisurely visit would take 3 hours. They were right. This was a fabulous museum appealing to multiple senses: sight, sounds, and touch. And it had a bit of mountain geology, biology, microbiology, soil science, as well as samples of the rocks, floors and fauna of mountains. Read moreI've lost track how many times we've been here. The only museum the kids actually WANT to go to! A lot to see, feel and learn, everytime! Little changes now and then and varying visiting exhibits, keeps it interesting. The last exhibit downstairs were various birds from the Himalyan mountain regions. Stunning! The main part has nearly every kind of plant and animal, including "Alm" life. Well thought out and fun. The...
Read moreFab little museum all about the different habitats found in these mountains. Projections change the season every few minutes. There is a lot of information about the local wildlife, and a number of interactive screens. There is a cave habitat which you take a torch into (from a rack by the cave entrance) to explore. Very interesting and well thought out.
We had ice creams from the on-site cafe, which were delicious, and there is a good kids playground out the back along with information boards about some...
