This is an attractive city park with paths weaving between the River Oker and plenty of trees and green spaces. It's a great place for dog walking. There is a lake, and a folly. Benches are scattered at pleasant vantage points. Blossom and daffodils bloom in Spring. There are some handsomely mature maple and horse-chestnut trees. Ducks, geese, heron, woodpeckers and even, sometimes, more exotic birds of passage abound. At least one pair of honey buzzards visits during the warmer months. There are coypu and fish in the river. The city council in its infinite wisdom has also installed a "Disc Golf" course throughout, which is a sort of cross between golf and frisbee, but it's not too intrusive. Read morePark like no other, with slow and quiet river whitch is anything but strait, plenty of Green, many walking areas, for quiet walk or running or cyciling... You have an option for remting a canooe, or (this is mine first time to see something like this) you can rent a frisbee, or better sead a complete of diferent wheights frisbees in a rucksack and go on a "DiscGolfPark" tour, you have like a golf course diferent distances and all kind of trees in a way... Very interesting.... I was totaly relaxed after few minutes in this park, quiet with few ducks, and rabbits... Perfect for Sunday picnic with family. Warm...
