Über den Weiher im Rebstockpark wehen Rauchschwaden und der Duft von Gegrilltem. Familien treffen sich zum Grillen auf sattgrünen Liegewiesen im Schatten der Bäume mit idyllischer Sicht auf den See. Kinder spielen im Gras und auf den geschwungenen Wegen oder toben auf dem nahen Spielplatz. Auf dem See führen Enten ihre Familien aus. Drei Hektar groß ist er und wird von Grundwasser gespeist. Majestätisch defilieren Schwäne vor einer Insel. Sie ist dicht bewachsen mit Bäumen und Weiden, deren Zweige ins Wasser ragen. Ein Paradies für Vögel, auch Kormorane wurden schon gesichtet. Entlang des Seeufers wachsen Röhricht und Bäume. Wäldchen und Baumgruppen prägen die sanft hügligen Rasenflächen des 28 ha großen Parks. Schmale Schienen führen quer hindurch: Wenn an bestimmten Tagen das Frankfurter Feldbahnmuseum am Römerhof Fahrbetrieb hat, können die Besucher eine Feldbahnfahrt mit historischer Lok durch den Park unternehmen.

Im Norden führt die Autobahn A 648 zum Messegelände am Park vorbei, im Süden begrenzen ihn Kleingärten und Sportanlagen. Oberhalb des Freizeitbads Rebstock haben Hunde auf großen Wiesen freien Auslauf. Jenseits des Bads und der großen Messeparkhäuser liegt der neue Rebstockpark. 2005 entstand er auf ehemaligen Messeparkplätzen. Eine 400 m lange "Rasengracht" durchzieht ihn, auf beiden Seiten laden Spiel- und Liegewiesen, Sportanlagen und Reihen aus Säuleneichen die Bewohner der angrenzenden neuen Wohngebiete ein.Größe 28 ha

Seinen Namen hat das Gelände vom Hofgut Rebstock, erwähnt schon im 13. Jahrhundert. Seit Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts starteten von hier Heißluftballons, und 1909 landete Graf Zeppelin mit seinem Luftschiff während der Internationalen Luftschiffausstellung. 1912 richtete die Deutsche Luftschiff-AG auf dem Areal den Frankfurter Luftschiffhafen ein. Er wurde später mit Start- und Landebahnen für Passagier- und Frachtflugverkehr erweitert. Seit 1937, als der neue Flughafen im Stadtwald eröffnete, diente er nur noch als Sportflugplatz und im 2. Please note since the out door and indoor pool are connected they shut down the facility in case of rain, thunder , storm etc which is quite inconvenient to the general public.
