If you have kid who loves Lego or not, this place is a must visit!! It’s a proper 2 days holiday to cover all the rides (may not be enough for some). Please note all rides have height restrictions- minimum requirement varies from 100 to 130cm. Those fun and fast rides require 110cm as minimum. So check the website for the minimum height requirements for individual rides. And this is strictly followed due to safety and security reasons. My personal recommendation is wait until your kid is min 120cm :)
We visited here March last week 2024 just before the Easter holidays. It was for 2 nights and booked a family room in Kings Castle. We got lucky weather was amazing!!
We didn’t have our own car so, we visited here using public transportation end to end. Günzburg is the nearest train station. There’s direct buses from station to legoland park then to holiday village (hotel, villas etc). Time table completely varies, it’s either every 30min or 1hr interval (maybe 2hr during the lunch hour). This is applicable in either direction.
Here’s how we managed our travel- we reached Günzburg by train around 11:00 and there was bus. We reached there and did complete our check in process just at the entrance. And you can drop your luggage at the check in counter. They delivered directly to the reception building at the holiday village. This made whole process easier. We directly entered the park and enjoyed our rides until 5:30pm and directly headed to holiday village. This was about 10-15min walk. We found out where the reception building was and collected our luggage and brought it ourselves to kings castle where my room was booked. Breakfast was amazing at this hotel.
There are dinner buffet was available within the village and we had reservations done whilst booking rooms. We booked Pirate and duschland, first was fantastic and other one was ok-ok sorts.
After checking out, we returned to Günzburg train stations there are bus services 30min to 1hr intervals until 12:22pm, then it starts from 14:00ish again. (During the winter there are limited options, it appears that typically from March mid frequency gets increased).
LEGO Land park is baby...
Read moreTop attraction for families with kids or for lego fans !
Accessibility : get off Günzburg train station then wait right in front of the station for a bus with a legoland tag on it. It comes every 30 mins and it costs 2,25 euros per person per journey (so one way). It takes approx 15 mins to arrive to the legoland afterwards 👍🏻
Parking and lego hotels available but i haven’t tried them.
At opening hours, large queues can be spotted but relax, entrance is very efficient and you usually don’t wait much.
Lockers available for storing your backpacks. At the entrance on the left, right before the city shop. 2 sizes available for 4 or 6 euros. Note that you can only pay by card.. The purchase is valid for the entire day. Only a limited number of lockers is available..
The park is greatly designed. Easy access to everything ! Free water available. Toilets every now and then. I recommend downloading the application, saving the attractions you are interested in before the day of your visit and following the directions directly on your phone rather than using the physical map wich can get tricky, especially if you don’t speak german.
Great atmosphere in general. Music is played sometimes. Animations also present (for example minifigure costume guy or shows).
Waiting time for attractions is not too long ! Very efficient handling of the most famous attractions (dragon, mytica rollercoaster etc..) so in the end, even with long queues, you usually don’t waist many minutes. However, attractions are short and you only enjoy rides for a few minutes.
Photos are not always allowed during rides.
Overall, your journey will be expensive because it is hard to reach the legoland and not to buy merchandise, lego minifigures, lego animals, lego bricks and pieces, some quick grab eateries.. in my opinion, it is still worth it.
Very clean and very recommended...
Read moreKids loved it. It was a birthday present to both our boys and they said it was the best present ever. And that was the goal. For me, I can say it was really great, the staff were friendly and very helpful, mascots were fun, food was great (I can really recommend the chicken Pirate feast 👍🏻👍🏻), rooms nicely decorated and clean. With food, I recommend booking it at the time of the trip booking, then you don't have to mess around or be sent away if all booked up at the restaurant entrance, and we were even given priority treatment and were allowed to skip the queue as we had this reservation. Resort was great, prices not too bad. The park itself cool, although it took me a while to figure out the express queue and how it was working. We went for two nights, arriving Wednesday afternoon, spent the evening in the Resort and the next two days at the Park. Thursday we went around, doing mainly smaller rides with our little daughter as the queues were about 30 mins on the large ones, and for the second Park day, we bought Gold Express tickets, basically 10% of the queue time we only had to wait and were let in, so we did all the large rides. 👍🏻 The only negatives were that the express ticket booking was a bit overcomplicated and it was not possible to login to the app with your booking number (confirmed at the reception too) to have your tickets there. Instead we used saved PDFs as workaround, but still...meh. And the Mythica ride is waaaay to short. But all in all a great experience, I can only...
