Partnachklamm, nestled within the stunning Bavarian Alps near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, is a natural wonder that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit. This breathtaking gorge, carved over millennia by the rushing waters of the Partnach River, offers a captivating journey through towering limestone cliffs, dramatic rock formations, and cascading waterfalls.

As I ventured into the depths of Partnachklamm, I was immediately struck by the sheer grandeur and raw beauty of the surroundings. The narrow pathways carved into the rock led me deeper into the heart of the gorge, where the sound of rushing water echoed off the walls and the air was filled with a refreshing mist.

Every twist and turn revealed new wonders to behold—a hidden waterfall tumbling from above, a natural archway framing the landscape, and the vibrant hues of moss and lichen clinging to the rocky surfaces. It was a sensory feast unlike any other, as I marveled at the power and beauty of nature's handiwork.

Partnachklamm is not only a geological marvel but also a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers alike. Whether you're embarking on a leisurely hike through the gorge or capturing its beauty through the lens of a camera, a visit to Partnachklamm is sure to leave you spellbound and inspired by the wonders of the...

We visited Partnachklamm on a Friday early around 10:30am. We parked our car in the olympia skistadion which costed €5 per day. From the parking lot, Partnachklamm entry is a half an hour walk. The way to Partnachklamm is nice. Once there you can grab a €10 ticket to enter the gorge. Gorge is one of a kind, a raincoat and sturdy shoes are recommended. The gorge itself takes around 15minutes to explore. You could take the same route back but if you want to explore some hiking routes around the gorge like we were, then you can exit the gorge and take up multiple hiking routes. We headed towards Kaiserschmarrn-Alm. It's a long upward hike which feels quite daunting in the beginning due to continuous inclination but the end result is worth it. When you reach the top, the views from Kaiserschmarrn-Alm (german cuisine restaurant)are very rewarding. You see snow-capped mountains and sheeps around. That was the best part of the hike. From there we took a detour towards eisener Brücke, the trail then leads you back to gorge but from an elevation. You can get a good topview from above and route back to entry of Partnachklamm is shortened. At the end of the trail you arrive at the entrance of the Partnachklamm and then you take the same route back to...
