Only 3 stars as this is not for everyone and it is a three hour ferry trip each way. The ferry is comfortable and serves reasonable food. We had about 4 hours on the island all on foot of course as the only vehicles are emergency vehicles. We spent most of our time walking around the island. Not all of it but certainly the most scenic and interesting. The coloured sedimentary layers of the cliff face with a sizeable Gannet colony are worth the climb to the top where the bomb craters can also be seen from when the RAF tried to sink the island. There is a tourist information office and a few shops including coffee shops. If this is your sort of thing you’ll really enjoy it. I would say only give up a whole day and Make the effort if it is your sort of thing. I have no idea what the parking charges are as we were on a motorcycle and we were directed to a suitable spot by a friendly chap and not charged. It is our sort of thing so we really enjoyed the whole day. Accommodation is available on the island for anyone wanting more than a day trip. Would we go again? No, only because we’ve been there. For us it was a one off...
