I went there with my colleague a few weeks ago and I thought it was fantastic. Many very interesting pieces and artifacts. They had many super interesting things. Big models, bigger real pieces, some to buy, small figures and set ups, stunning size comparisons and much more. They have student prices! I forgot my student ID when I got there but the super friendly lady at the front desk gave me the student price anyway. I also got to go on toilet while I was waiting for my company and the same front desk lady opened the staff entrance on the outside so I could quickly get there (I didn't pay yet) What was not so great was the temperature. In summer, I expect I'd be nice and cool inside but in winter, I froze my butt off. It was inside two large industrial halls. But I'm a rather slim person so someone with a normal weight might not freeze as much. The way getting there might seem a little confusing because the area looks industrial but as long as you follow the long street along the train tracks and then take a right turn at the end, past the white bars, it's easy to find. Will definitely go...

I was rushing to make it till the last admission, which was at 4pm (museum open till 5pm). Arrived there 3:45pm and they were not happy at all that I came, because as I was the only visitor, they would need to stay longer and were trying to persuade me that I should not go inside, they want to have Feierabend and its not nice from me that I woul like to do the visit, so I left disgusted. On my way to the car I met a lady with two kids looking forward to visit the planes as well, still before 4pm... Feierabend I guess.. Maybe if you just stay closed, you can have Feierabend, Feiermorgen, Feiertag and dont have to...
Read moreAn absolute gem of a place , this is an aviation enthusiast's candy land. The place is well maintained, tabulated and organized. Each model tells a story of its history, innovation and engineering. Interspersed are personal touches of men and women who have contributed to such amazing aerial marvels. From start to finish if you are a aficionado, it can take up to 2 hours to tour the whole place. I would be skeptical to recommend this for children younger than 5 given how detailed and structure oriented...
