Well, it's exactly what it says it is.. Not much to say about it itself since what it is used for / what is displayed in the many many different halls changes from occasion to occasion, from year to year. If you are interested in any of the content that will be displayed there and at the same time are not scared by large crowds of people - then you should check it out.
What can I say about the service? Well I think there is an information center/point in every hall and as far as I could tell they speak German and English. I myself had a question as well and I was politely helped. Also the whole areal is as I pointed out gigantic. That is why there is a shuttle service consisting of a few different routes the busses take which you can use to cover great distances (eg if you want to get from the North to South Side etcetera). While it is also possible to get anywhere by foot it is obviously faster to take the bus for longer distances, especially if you have little time to spend there.
One thing to point out is the beautiful scenery between the many halls. This scenery consists of well designed places to sit down and eat (for example) or decorative "earth-pyramids" overgrown by grass.
Finally I only have one thing to criticize which is orientating and trying to meet with friends. Because of the gigantic areal it can be quite difficult to find your way around and even more so to meet up with someone. The latter is also partly because of how many people...
Read moreIn June 2018, I had the privilege of experiencing CEBIT in Hannover both as a visitor and an exhibitor, and it was nothing short of phenomenal! 🌟 The event was an intense fusion of innovation and interaction, making it a prime venue for tech enthusiasts and professionals alike. Participating in CEBIT goes beyond mere attendance; it involves immersing oneself in the bustling ecosystem of technology and creativity. 🛠️
Building our stand from scratch was not only a challenge but a true highlight, embodying the spirit of hands-on engagement that CEBIT fosters. 🏗️ This task, while demanding, brought a sense of accomplishment and a unique perspective on the event. The opportunity to interact directly with a diverse array of customers and business peers enriched my experience significantly. I also had the chance to give interviews on TV, adding an exciting layer to my involvement. 🎤
The atmosphere at CEBIT is electric, charged with enthusiasm and the buzz of potential new connections and insights. 🌐 If you're looking to fully grasp the vibrancy of this event, I'd say you haven't really 'done' CEBIT until you've built your own stand. I highly recommend this event for anyone eager to dive into the heart of the tech industry and leave with invaluable contacts and experiences. A...

The ticket included local transport, but it wasn't obvious how far out of Hannover you could travel on this card, and this was relevant since many visitors had to stay out of town due to city hotels being full to the brim.
The wifi connection was terrible, and the price was outrageous at €9 per hour. At the same time, the venue had a lot of focus on social commentary during the event, but due to the lack of proper wifi offerings, the social updates probably only came from German visitors who already had 3G plans. Foreigners would not be updating socially as much.
In Germany it seems to be "no money, no service" as they didn't accept as much international credit cards as would be anticipated on a large event like this, and there was way too few ATMs spread around to make this convenient...
