Good walk place and relaxing. Family friendly but I think more restroom would be better for the number of people. Nice for walking, jogging, biking and canoeing. Saw some people grilling with a small griller. The area is great too with general grocery stores. Can save bucks walking to Netto for example to buy water and food instead of buying as tourist at the park. Parking is good too but could free parking could be taken up so fast. There's also a zoo right there too and if you you'll visit this area 3 times a year better buy yearly zoo ticket and save fortune.

This was an amazing place to sit and people watch and is a bucket list must for anyone visiting the city of Munich. We packed a picnic lunch of cheese, salami, some crackers and wine to sit on the side of the channel and watch people take the plunge and ride the surf!!! Easy access from the tram and a nice walk from Karlsplatz and Marienplatz.

Incredible surfing spot in the middle of the city - a must see when you’re in Munich. It’s the river “Isa” that runs through Munich and this spot has is man made. This section of the river has been artificially created to run through the English Garden and is popular to swim and surf in.
