This place is awesome! Why? First of all you can go there with your kids and they have a nice playground, you have a Helles or Weißbier in the Beergarden. There are also parking slots available and the area is free for disabled people but and perhaps this can be changed: the toilets are in the cellar where nobody with wheelchair can go but probably they have a alternative for these people. Food is ok like in a Beergarden. I mean in summer there are sooo many people here playong and Drinking and talking and so on. Today the Beergarden was closed but the playground was open and #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet had a lot of fun. I recommend going there by bike cause the English garden is next to it and in summer times you can go there for a walk or a sunbath or a bbq with your own grill and so. Great place, discover the Hirschau!!

Great food and service. Good beer. Awesome beer garden in summer. Nice and cosy inside in the winter. Friendly and accommodating staff. I always make an effort to go here when in Munich any time of the year, but summer has to be the best. It is a little further along into the Englischen Garten so it has a more local feel with less tourists around as they generally stop walking when they hit one of the first two beer gardens in the Englischen Garten. So it makes it feel more nice and local. Photos in this review are in December 2018.

We would like to cordially thank the head of the event manager Mrs. Yvonee Weinmann, manager of the service team Adine as wel as the entire team of the restaurant Hirschau for the wonderful service, exquisite dishes and carefully selected, well-tuned to diverse dishes delicious wine and champagne at the wedding of our daughter Lilit with Markus on 6th of August 2021. All the invited guests were absolutely enthusiastic about the unforgettable evening! Thank you!

Great family-owned Biergarten serving Löwenbräu and Franziskaner beers. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Englischer Garten is this cosy, relaxed place that's wonderful and best-enjoyed with company. Friendly service, a huge playing area if you have kids, and the typical Bavarian flair, along with some of the freshest beers in town. A bit difficult to reach if you're using public transport, but the walk is well worth it.

Great biergarten serving the most excellent Löwenbräu beer and super food. Caters for everyone so no need to feel shy here! Very friendly staff. Occasionally has music and some dancing too by regular customers. Definitely worth a visit! UPDATE! Arrived back in July 2022 and very pleased to announce that all is as usual and the place is buzzing. Carry yourselves along to this most palatable of biergartens and enjoy!

Ich bin seit Jahren immer wieder mal hier und finde, dass der Biergarten inzwischen einfach nur noch überteuert ist. Und mich nervt das extrem. Die Lage ist schön, Ambiente passt auch, nicht zu viele Touristen, großer Spielplatz. Aber über 10€ für eine Maß Löwenbräu… sorry. Gerade war ich Essen holen. Es gab keine Speisekarte, die Gerichte waren mit Stift auf die Scheibe der Auslage geschrieben. Ohne Preis. Ich hab dann für 3 kleine Pommes, eine Portion Sauerkraut und Kässpatzen 34,20€ bezahlt und musste eben auf der Website nachvollziehen, wie dieser Preis zustande kam. Und das hat mir heute komplett den Vogel rausgehauen: 15,20€ für eine kleine Portion Kässpatzen. Ein Gericht, das aus Eiern, Wasser, Mehl und billigem Käse besteht. Darüber ein paar Industrie-Röstzwiebeln. Noch nichtmal Schnittlauch oder irgendwas. Salz fehlte und die Spätzle waren übergart. Dazu kommt der Angestellte, der das Essen vollkommen angepisst auf die Teller klatscht und unendlich unfreundlich war. Vielleicht, weil er komplett alleine war? So macht das jedenfalls absolut keinen Spaß.
