Kunsthalle Würth — Attraction in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Schwäbisch Hall

An amazing exhibition that ranges from early Cubist art right up to post- modernist collages in the 1970s and early 80s, mostly on loan from the museum of the city of Paris, but some belong to Mr. Würth's personal collection. Mr. Würth, a well-known German industrialist and art buff, gives us access in his art museum to some of the best art works of the modernist era from Picasso, Chagall, and Delaunay right up to Louise Bourgeois. The Picasso and Matisse bronze sculptures are particularly stunning. Of course, the highlight is Bourgeois' Spider, an epic sculpture, and a really massive one to admire. You'll need around 5 hours to get through the entire exhibit of around 200 displays. The Kunsthalle is well-connected and wheelchair accessible. Kunstmuseum von Weltrang

Die Kunsthalle befindet sich auf dem Gelände der Löwen-Brauerei in der Altstadt von Schwäbisch Hall. Der Kunstsammler und Unternehmer Adolf Würth ließ durch den dänischen Architekten Henning Larsen einen 3-geschossigen Kubus bauen, der im Obergeschoß aus 2 Gebäudeteilen und einer Plaza besteht , die durch eine gläserne Wand einen grandiosen Blick auf Schwäbisch Hall bietet. Der Museumsvorplatz wurde harmonisch in das historische Stadtbild mit dem Sudhaus der Brauerei und der Katharinenkirche eingefügt. Untehalb des Museumsgebäudes am Kocherufer befindet sich die Einfahrt ins Parkhaus, von dem Sie mit einem Aufzug direkt zum Museum gelangen. Das moderne Gebäude ist aus Beton, Stahl und Glasflächen erbaut. Die Außenwände sind mit Crailsheimer Muschelkalk verkleidet und eine große Glaswand sorgt für eine freie Sicht auf die Altstadt und den Kocher. Die wechselnden Ausstellungen zeitgenössischer Kunst haben Weltniveau und lassen sich mit den berühmten Museen in den europäischen Metropolen vergleichen. Der Unterschied: Während Sie in Paris, Mailand oder London für eine Picasso-Ausstellung endlos Schlange stehen müssen und hohe Eintrittspreise zahlen, können Sie in Schwäbisch Hall dank Adolf Würth große Kunst entspannt und ohne großes Gedränge kostenlos betrachten. Es ist sehr schön, daß fotorafieren für den privaten Gebrauch seit kurzem in der Kunsthalle erlaubt wurde. So können Sie die beeindruckenden Werke später erneut zuhause betrachten. Kunsthalle Würth is a wonderful place. Let's start from outside. From above you can see Schwäbisch Hall and the surrounding. Than there i a gift shop at the entrance, it's not expensive but, yes there is a but, there are so many beautiful art gifts so you will need some amount of money.
