Very good and interesting museeum, it does not look big and the inside exhibition is rather small, but the ships take some time to visit and the information is very well laid out , unfortunately not everything is translated to English so you need to understand German to get full enjoyment, especially so on the Mölders (the biggest of the ships)where there are no information in English, the other boats as well as the exhibition inside are almost completely translated, the boattour around the harbour was very interesting and well worth the extra 6 euro, but is only available in German ,

The exhibits are well maintained, and it takes about 2-3 hrs to view all the naval vessels and other exhibits (indoor and outdoor). All of the exhibits are in German and English, so there's no need to gear a language barrier. The vessels on display outside the building are also of great interest. The museum explains the history of the Herman naval service from the time of the Holy Roman Empire to the modern era. It gives a very good and insightful view of the Service.
