Mega Drafi or Mega Trafi is a small sandy beach in an open bay. You can reach the beach by car. The beach is organized and there are also a beach bar. There are small pebbles in water in the first 5 meters but after that there are only big boulders. The water was very clear, at least 15 meters visibility. We had here three rounds of snorkeling with a total of almost 4 hours in water. On the right side the water is deep and very deep and the rocky shore is going vertically into the water directly to minus 5-8 meters. There is no shelter and no bottom platform to rest at least for 400 meters. If there are waves the snorkeling will not be pleasant near the shore. The underwater landscape is nice with this rock walls going down directly to the bottom of the sea. On the left side you have more resting opportunities because the shore line is not more vertical in water. After about 150 m you rich a small beach (Micro Trafi) with some coves on the beach left side. After another 300 meters you can rest on another very tiny beach there is in a very narrow small bay. On my snorkeling marking scale the score for Mega Drafi (TrafI) Beach is 4 from a maximum of 5 points. It is the best snorkeling beach closer to Syvota (4 km)...
Read moreThe location is lovely with a beautiful sea view and a calm, relaxed atmosphere — no loud music, which we really appreciated. The waitress was very kind.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. We ordered courgette balls, but they had no noticeable courgette inside and were still frozen in the middle when served. The squid came without any sauce, and when we asked, only ketchup or mayo were available. For €14, we expected a bit more quality for squid and at least some nice sauce to go with it. Overall, the food lacked flavour and felt overpriced for what we got.
A nice spot for a drink and the view, but we wouldn’t come back...
Read moreLoved it here - beautiful beach (beach shoes essential) that has free parking and toilets that are really well looked after by the lovely family that run the beach bar there. Loved the beach bar/shack, and the food, drink and service were all fab as a result of the hard working family that run it - rustic but fantastic. Live acoustic music every Thursday afternoon too - which we also loved. If you like a smaller, quieter beach and you’re fed up of the big, fancy beachside restaurants then this is THE place - rustic and real. Sunbeds are 7 euros for a pair with shade - brilliant! Highly recommend the beach and...
