Mega Drafi — Restaurant in Igoumenitsa Municipality

It is a nice enough beach depending on your standards.. Coming from an island, where I've hiked down cliffs to get to beautiful beaches, with the bluest of blue waters, this is just a beach. It is easy enough to get to, something between sandy and pebbly, the water is clean enough and warm in the evening. I will mention that from the early evening the beach has a lot of natural shade, due to the rocks surrounding it! Though ⅔ of the beach are covered in sunbeds, there is still free space. The sunbeds were fairly priced, but the canteen/bar was incredibly expensive.. A small can of beer 4€ and an ice tea another 4€... If you are visiting with children or large parties I would suggest definitely taking your own snacks... It also seems to be dog friendly. Not really at the paid sunbeds but the free spaces. As a last note, I'll add to be aware of the wasps, and definitely carry allergy treatments if you...

For lunch, a Greek salad and a beer — everything was perfect. Too bad that, in the late afternoon, when I came back for a 6€ smoothie, “Michele” (I believe the owner), caught up in the jovial mood of the moment with other people present, started pouring tsipouro, a sort of Greek grappa, which seemed like he was offering and of which he was also drinking himself… only to then charge me for it with much...

Great food. Very genuine and homemade feeling. One of the best we had during the trip. The family is very welcoming and helpful. We loved the beach too. Worth the trip. ♥️Small details like the draft beer, having good bread and the helpful daughter that translated part of the menu to us made it one of the best meals...
