Pefkospilia Beach — Attraction in Macedonia and Thrace

I give it a star just because we went there in the morning, only few people there, but surprise, most of the sunbeds were reserved (had a towel on them), so the place reserves the sunbeds for the "right" people. Also take into account that the place is very crowded, all the sunbeds are put right next to each other and you don't have much room to move or privacy. The music (from the next beach bar, Elia, I think...it's a mix of sounds there) is so loud you can't hear anything. Besides all that, the food was good for a beach bar, the place is nicely decorated, you have two sunbeds for the prices of 30€ in drinks/food in the first row and 20€ in the back, the water is clear, no rocks, sand is gold and smooth It's too bad that the beach is filled with crowded, loud beach bars. The beach is nice with sand and clear water but full of kids and families and the sunbeds are very close to each other. You need to reserve in advance. We had a little argue regarding the reservation because we were 3 people and they gave us only 2 sunbeds and one seat because you cannot take 3 sunbeds, you can only take 4 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas. The person called me a liar that he told me this on the phone, but I remember he didn’t specified this when I reserved. there is no reason to lie since I would be the one affected but either he didn’t told me or I didn’t hear as the reception was bad and I had problems hearing him. The restaurant is truly outstanding – the food and service are consistently top quality. This is our second year coming here, and it remains one of the most delicious and memorable dining experiences on the island.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the beach bar. The atmosphere there is spoiled by the unprofessional behavior of Iorgos, who acts more like a self-appointed “boss” than a host. He dismisses reservations when it doesn’t suit him, which creates unnecessary frustration and leaves a very poor impression.

It’s disappointing because the restaurant sets such a high standard, yet the beach bar brings the overall experience down. With the right management changes, this place could truly shine...
