First of all, our 4-year-old liked it. She liked the dinosaurs, she liked the science exhibit, she liked the planetarium. And she liked the second film of the 5D cinema, the first one was a bit too scary. The staff was very polite and kind overall, with a special mention for the kind lady at the science exhibit.
Second, as an adult, I can't help but see it for what it is: a cheaply made cash grab. The admission is a hefty €20. Children above 3 pay the same for a golden ticket, which I thought really crass.
The dinosaur models vary from decent to ok-ish. Some are pretty good, others are worn-down, too small or plain wrong. Some dinosaurs move a little bit, but don't expect full animatronics. Some dinosaurs make sounds from little speakers, but it's really not that impressive. Children probably won't notice any of this, but adults definitely will. The hospital was good though. One can see that a lot of love was put into its creation. We especially like the triceratops, the inside of the T-Rex, and the dinosaur eggs.
The planetarium was fun. The children's movie was interesting enough, and not too long.
The science exhibit has some fun things too. I especially liked the sand play area that was a topological map of itself.
I was not impressed by the 5D cinema. The 3D effects were of questionable quality. The water spray is a silly gimmick. And the movies itself were more like demo movies without any story or coherency.
There's some large puzzles outside, which are fun. They show some serious signs of wear though.
The children's train ride at the end was a joke.
There's also little rides which cost a euro littered everywhere, so at every corner you'll have to disappoint your child. This seems unnecessary.
The lay-out of the park is good. It's not too big, and pretty well thought-out. There's plenty of shade to be found, and the decorations are pretty good. The two sand pits are big and fun, and in the shade, though they could use some replacement brushes.
I can't comment on the food, since we brought our own. At the entrance it said you couldn't, but we happily ignored that.
Overall, I think it was worth the money because my child liked it, and that's why we were there. A group of adults, or older children might not be of the same idea. I would also recommend buying the most expensive golden ticket, because without those extras, the park is very limited.
For the owners: please show your damaged models some love. Please get better content for your 5D cinema. And please make your park less of an...
Read moreIf you have never been to a dinosaur-themed park, this one is an okay place to start. After a few of these, they all start to look alike. There are only so maby things you can do with animatronic dinosaurs, after all.
For our family of four, it cost 44 euros to gain admission. That is just shy of $50 USD. The base admission is slightly less, but we elected to purchase bronze tickets in order to see the 5D movie. I'm sorry to say I don't think it was worth it.
In the park, there is a fairly strict path to follow that takes you around to see various dinosaur statues. There is a dinosaur hospital to walk through that is free, but small. There are a couple of sand pits where kids can use brushes to discover dinosaur fossils. There is a charming play area and a cafe and gift shop.
The 5D movie was disappointing, in my opinion, but in all fairness, my kids enjoyed it. The seats move, and there are fans to blow wind on the viewers to make the experience more immersive. But the motion of the chairs is so jerky, my neck was aching by the end.
There is no dialogue in the movie, by the way. It is a good way to have a movie for what is likely going to be a wide range of audiences. I did not like the movie itself. There was a wildfire, death of a dinosaur, and it ended with a baby dinosaur being lost in the snowy mountains all alone. It was...very negative.
After the movie there is a roller coaster. I think that was a good touch, but it wasn't great.
The play area was good, and the cafe was reasonably priced. We got a coffee, a tea, a bottle of water, and a large plate of fries for 8 euro. The fries were well seasoned and tasty.
Overall, it was okay. The kids had a decent time. We were hard pressed to be entertained for more than about 90 minutes. If the park allowed access to all aspects for about 25 euro total, for the family, that would feel about fair. 44 euros for partial access, though, considering the overall quality, was...
Read moreWe went with our 3year old kid on a sunny day. Our review is based on our experiences there. Would list it out as what we liked and what needs definitely further improvements. Likes: Staff was very friendly mostly organized The park is moderate size and pretty well shaded with planted trees and man made shades the dinosaurs replicas are quite to real sizes when they existed, with details of their existence for kids having interest in Dinos, have new things to explore and learn like Dino hospital was one of them 5D Movie is good experience.
What need improvements: during our planetarium show, the video froze 2-3 times and went off completely twice, did not return until someone went to complaint. Video quality was just ok At Dino Hospital, the lady spoke while wearing mask and no Mic, with background Dino noise, we hardly understood what she said. Definitely needs to better this. Toy train ride was very short. Entry Tickets, for Golden tickets they charge same price for a kid 3y and above as adults, this seems not reasonable to the service what they are currently offering. To the point, the tickets for either accompanying adult or kid must have some kind of combo to make it reasonable or charge full prices above 5-6years onwards. An understanding level of 3-4years old is definitely not there to what they are offering there. at entry they don't tell you that you can also separately buy tickets for some areas like Science exhibition or even 5D, which you can buy on spot.
Overall we were forced to rate in average category, as the experience never went to wow. We spent 60€ for 2adult and 1 kid and felt not worth/overpriced. Recommended for bigger kids if they offer full prices as adults, for 3-4years kids, especially for Golden tickets, needs...
