Ταβέρνα ΚΡΗΤΕΣ — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

TLDR- great food, great wine, bouncy castles, mobility-impaired friendly!

Came for a wedding, loved it, and immediately brought the rest of the family to dinner here the next night. The food is amazing, I recommend the lamb and pork from the oven. The lamb was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The porc was so tender it could be cut with a straw!The kids play area works really well with my daughter and is certainly fine for any toddler on up. There is a toddler-specific bouncy castle and a child bouncy castle. This means we can watch the kids while eating in peace.

As an added bonus, the changing table was accessible by men and not hidden away in the women’s WC like so many in Greece.

The house wine (white) was delicious, crisp and dry.

Food it's not bad, but nothing spectacular, service its good, but it will be nicer if the waiters could be a bit more "friendly looking" as many of them look very unhappy, I understand they job it's not a easy one, but, u know, they there already so, just try to look "normal" while you serve a table!!, the place, the playground, the garden and the location are...

Πολύ καλή εμπειρία για την ταβέρνα!

Δυστυχώς, αν δεν πηγαίναμε στο ενυδρείο της Κρήτης-που είναι λίγα μέτρα πιο κάτω και δεν μας είχαν βάλει διαφημιστικό στο αυτοκίνητο- δεν θα το γνωρίζαμε. Είναι σε απομακρυσμενο μέρος και αν δεν στο πουν ή δεν δεις διαφημιστικό δεν θα πας εύκολα.

Όμως, πήγαμε. Η σαλάτα που πήραμε ήταν τεράστια. Τεράστιες μερικές, πολύ καλές τιμές. Πήραμε και πακέτο καθώς δεν μπορέσαμε να τα φάμε όλα! Τα κολοκυθάκια του ζάχαρη. Η μπριζόλα, οκ. Καλή. Όχι κάτι το τρομερό.

Το προσωπικό λίγο προσοχή παραπάνω καθώς η κοπέλα που μας σέρβιρε ήταν λίγο "πάγος" και όταν ζητήσαμε να πάμε σε τραπέζι που από πάνω είχε σκεπαστρο για τον ήλιο δεν μας έβαλαν (οχι, δεν ήταν γεμάτο, ούτε ήταν ρεζερβε κανένα από αυτά τα τραπέζια) με την δικαιολογία επειδή το τραπέζι ήταν για 6 άτομα και εμείς 4 δεν μας το έδωσαν. Υπερβολή! Δεν γέμισε ποτέ το μαγαζί, ούτε καν τα τραπέζια που δεν μας έβαλαν.

Εχει παιδότοπο για τα παιδιά, αν έχετε παιδιά νηπιακής ηλικίας και μεγαλύτερα είναι μια καλή επιλογή καθώς συγχρόνως παίζουν, σταματούν τρώνε και πάνε να...
