Tactual Museum of Athens — Attraction in Municipality of Kallithea

A fantastic place, highly recommended! Most museums have exhibits behind glass or off limits, but at this museum you're encouraged to touch the exhibits. We had an excellent guided tour with Marcheta who is very knowledgeable and has a lovely way of describing things, and by visiting the Tactual Museum first, when we visited places like the Acropolis later, we had a much better understanding of what we were seeing. Fantastic place and experience. Went there as it is one of 5 tactual museums in the world. My sister is fully blind so this type of exhibitions is one of only few ways for her to touch history. All exhibitions had very detailed descriptions in English and were very easy to navigate and understand.
