The Mineralogical Museum of Lavrion is housed in a small but noteworthy example of the industrial architecture of the 19th century (1873), in the remains of the important metal-washing plant of the Greek Society. Read moreA nice place for anyone who is interested in minerals. We had a lot of fun trying to guess which stone is which and after a while we were able to identify the most common ones :) We spent about an hour there (since the museum is rather small). The prices are super fair with 2€ for adults and 50ct for students.
If I could change one thing, I would offer tours at the museum. I'm sure the story about Lavrio, the mines there and all the minerals is very interesting and would have loved to learn...
