We visited Pezodromos twice during our stay in Lavrion in August 2021 and we were highly satisfied both times. The cuisine offers both excellent typical Greek starters (for which this place is already worth a visit) and equally meat and fish dishes from the region. During our two visits, we had a number of different starters whereby, in particular, the Dolmas were excellent, also the fried Zucchini (ask the waiter for the Greek translation of this dish - this is an absolutely unspellable word for any non-Greek!) were extremely good. We also liked very much the grilled mushrooms and the grilled vegetables. The Tarama was very special - not as we use to know it but equally very good. From the main dishes, I would like to specifically mention the grilled Octopus and the stuffed squid which both were very good. Equally so the risotto with chicken. I also tried the prawns sauted in a typical Greek semi-spicy sauce. The taste was excellent. It was a little bit difficult to eat since they prepared the full prawns (ie incl carcasse). I also eat the entire carcasse but for those who want to peel the prawn, this is somewhat difficult in view of the sauce. But still, very good dish! We were very delighted by the excellent and very friendly service. Everybody was offered a small ice cream at the courtesy of the restaurant which we highly appreciated. Wines were very good. During our first stay we had two different sorts of Rose bottles which both were good. During the 2nd stay, we took the open Rose wine which, openly speaking, was quite as good as the bottles (but at a somewhat lower cost). Prices are really ok. Clear, it is not a luxury restaurant but the ingredients are fresh and of a high quality and the dishes are very nicely prepared. All in all, a highly recommendable...
Read morePezodromos exuded a warm and inviting ambiance, and we decided to try it based on a recommendation from a local Athenian. It turned out to be an excellent choice, especially because it's not overrun by tourists, and the food is exceptionally fresh. The waitstaff were courteous and incredibly friendly. Our order included the saganaki shrimp, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. The shrimp dish featured a delectable sauce with feta cheese and tomato, providing a burst of flavor. The grilled octopus was perfectly cooked and had a delightful texture. The steamed mussels were notably larger than those I had at my last dinner spot. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a quick meal after visiting the Temple...
Read moreThese guys really beg for your good review, but in a good way. Instead of telling you to leave a good review like some other restaurants do, this restaurant greets you with good food and great service. When our group of 10 were seated in the nice quiet area the restaurant is located in, we were given an assortment of mosquito sprays, an even phone chargers! After we had finished eating, we all got a on-the-house piece of cake each, as well as another gift per family. With all this free stuff you'd imagine the prices to be steep, but we definitely found them acceptable for the food quality (18 euros for a very filling meat platter for two persons). I'm sure the restaurant more than make up for the cost of the good service with the tips...
