Went in early June for the day. Got there with a rented 50cc motorbike. Clean beach, calm waves, and water as clear as a swimming pool! Very few people compared to the popular beaches. The shore is not sand, it is small rocks which aren’t the most comfortable to walk on or lay on.
Did some snorkeling and saw lots of colorful fish, many rocks to explore very near the shore with a bigger drop off to peer out into the sea from at the end of the market area to swim! Would’ve loved to spend the whole day snorkeling but the water was too cold to stay in for much longer than 30 minutes.
Sun beds occupy half the beach with a restaurant, the other half is free access for towels or your own umbrella. Plenty of space for both, plenty of sun beds/umbrellas available. Rented a pair for €60 - more expensive than expected. Much more affordable than somewhere like Paradise Beach, though. Quiet. Restaurant was also pricier than expected but not astronomical, got a very good pizza to share for €20.
IMPORTANT: The road is a very steep descent to the beach and 50cc motorcycles and ATVs will struggle to get back up. We managed it just barely by serpentining up the ascent. Proceed with caution if you’re using a small vehicle like that or you’ll get...
Read moreGreat beach for a relaxing day. This is not a beach blasting music and is not a “scene.” The beach is rocky and may not be great for toddlers. My middle school age kids enjoyed their time on this beach. We brought water shoes but my kids didn’t use them. You can get 2 loungers and an umbrella for a set posted price (€35), so no one is ripping you off. It’s in an inlet, so the water is not rough. Lots of people swimming. There is a small watersports area with jet skis and tubing. The drive is somewhat scary down / up a very steep road. Worth it for us with kids. We had a very nice...
Read moreVery nice beach with pretty impressive restaurant and sunbeds setup. However it was real challenging to get there as there’s very steep downhill path to this place, to go back you need to go uphill through some very tiny parts of the road. The surface of the beach is more rocky than the sand and not so comfortable with bare foot. Water was crystal clear, we were only able to try a bit of it as red flag appeared during our stay there. If I have to chose again, I’d go to Kalo Livadi beach with easier access and softer sand and for sure longer beach with better...
