In this astounding and mesmerized location, Dionisis made his and our dreams come true a few years ago, by giving birth to this bunch of suites elegantly furnished, charmingly decorated, and nicely integrated in the surrounding nature. And this would be worth a five-star review by itself. Unfortunately, in a secluded and remote spot like this, where nothing can be reached within a walking distance, service and customer care play the most crucial role. And this is exactly what we suggest him focusing. Specifically, in our mind, two points stood out: the breakfast and the frigo bar. Expectations were high for the first one, since Dionisis told us that he love cooking and can call himself a cook. So, packed produce such as sliced white bread, cold cuts, jam, yogurt (Greek yogurt is mandatory here!), UHT milk and packaged orange juice in oil/vinegar jars, all displayed in plastic containers were not what we expected. In addition, the frigo bar, with just one water bottle then not replaced, was completely empty and we found ourselves at night, after our dinner out, with no water to drink till the next morning.|This is not meant to be sterile criticism, but, since we reckon this place deserves more and more can be easily done to make it perfect, we want to let Dionisis know that the experience can be leveled up to a perfect one....

We have just returned after our 7 night stay at the Maregold Hotel and we fell in love with this little hideaway. |The views from the rooms, and the pool are beautiful. We started everyday with the Hotels host bringing us breakfast to our door - the perfect wake up call, and with the best views on the island.|The rooms come with everything you need, from a good sized mini fridge, to bathroom amenities, modern air con and black out blinds. |The hotel is a bit of a walk from the nearest town, but there is a local bus if you don't feel up to the walk (we popped into town for dinners, and also to stock up on local goodies from the supermarket). |Dionisis is the best host I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He gave us a tour of the villa on our arrival, and a long list of activities, excursions and restaurants to try. Everything he recommended was exquisite and his suggestions truly made our trip.
