Long beach with crystal clear water. The confusing thing are the bars. Everyone seems to be with different policy.
LA Luna - seems like the most expensive, but ends up to be quite the same as the rest with superior service.
Service is fast and pleasanr. There's music. July 2023 prices for the beach umbrellas are 40 euros for first line, 30 euros for second line, 20 euros for the rest. These are all paid as credit for consummation. The umbrella will be reserved for you for the whole day. Very comfortable and luxurious sunbeds with cushions and additional small foldable chair.
The bar next to LA Luna (with the white cushions on the sunbeds) - Service is a bit slow. The bar is on the other side of the road, so no music, which was great for us. July 2023 prices for the beach umbrellas are 30 euros for first line, 20 euros for second line. These are all paid as credit for consummation. The umbrella will be reserved for you for the whole day. Very comfortable and luxurious sunbeds with white cushions. We prefer the calm, no music, so we'll be back here for the first line sunbeds.
The bar next to LA Luna (with no cushions on the sunbeds) - There are 3 different areas of sunbeds, operated by different people, situated right in front of the Metalani Bar/ Rooms.
We sat at the one with white sunbeds (no cushions). There's no service. The bar is on the other side of the road, so no music, but you need to walk through the road to get a p frappe. July 2023 prices for the beach umbrellas are 15 euros which do not include any consummate. The umbrella will be reserved for you for the whole day.
It seems like the most affordable option, however we paid 15 euros for the umbrella, 7 euros for two frappes, and 8 for a club sandwich. So you can easily spend 30 euros. One big benefit though is that you can move your sunbed around and make sure you are in the shade, which is not possible at LaLuna.
We prefer the calm, no music, however this also means that you'll get to hear a lot of childrens shouting.
Generally, there are no many people around...
Read moreVery beautiful beach! It's a blue flag beach (that means you have all necessities like sun beds umbrellas, toilets, showers, beach bars, food, lifeguard etc.). There is also plenty of space for those who want to stay on the sand with a towel!
The beach is with sand and small pebbles. The water is very clean. The water doesn't get deep too fast, which is very nice if you have children or if you can't swim. A water playground for children is also available (15€ for a child and a parent for the whole day). They also rent paddle boards for 10€ an hour.
The view is nice, you can see the Athos finger and some small cliffs on the right and left side of the beach. Usually the sea isn't wavy, and when it is there are pretty small waves. On one side of the beach there is some sort of camping place for people with caravans, not sure if utilities are available.
Somewhere close you can rent boats and sky jets. You can see some people having fun. The lifeguard is "patrolling" when sky jets and boats are present to ensure safety which makes you feel very safe and cared for.
There are also some ambulant sellers with doughnuts (with chocolate and sugar for 3€ a piece), corn on the cob (also 3€). Sometimes there are also people with Thai massages, wooden stuff, sunglasses but not everyday and I don't know the prices.
As a Beach Bar I recommend La Luna which is absolutely amazing! I will also leave a...
Read moreBeautiful sand beach, almost 2 km long. When we started coming here, in 2018, we were surprised because there was nothing on the beach, just sand and the sea 🙂, no crowd, you had a feeling that the whole beach is yours. At the beginning of the beach, around 2-3th street there was one beach bar and La Mantri before the hill and that was all. Years later, in 2025 there are at least 8 beach bars on Trani Ammouda beach. More and more people are coming, especially during the weekend and nowadays you do not have a feeling of the "private beach". Also, one more thing for dog lovers who would like to come with their pets on the beach...you should be aware that there are dogs living on the farm on the hill above La Mantri beach bar. They are quite big, sometimes they just lay in shadow uninterested in their surroundings, but they also know to walk around the beach area in groups of 3-5. They are usually hungry, so you can bring some food to feed them. Keep your pets on a leash to make them safe and do not leave...
