Paralia Agios Mamas — Attraction in Municipality of Spetses

This is a review that I would have left when I visited back in a non- internet age way back in the early '80s. I am sure we transferred by an old bus from Athens to Kosta port ...it took an eternity driving on the old roads through an ancient world. I can't remember the boat crossing, head in hands by then probs, but there must have been one. Second mistake, not realising the regular transport there is by horse. I am allergic sadly so I spent the whole time with a puffed up, weepy, wheezing face like I had just lost my best dog in the most awful way. Sun, sea, beach, town, apartment, locals and cicadas were all good. I don't think we were sad to leave though, I can't remember us talking about it...

Nice beach, clear water. Only giving 4/5 because the beach doesn't have enough umbrellas/shadow and that can be a problem during such hot weather. However the water is clean and clear, and there's only rocks for a metre or so into it, after which there's soft sand. On the actual beach there's a mixture of sand and rocks but even so, the rocks aren't too much...

Very clear waters. We were literally swimming with dozens of fish around us. Really enjoyed swimming there. 4 stars instead of 5 because the beach is not organized and the only way to get sunbeds and umbrellas is to pay 12 euros for a set a bit further away from the sandy part...
